Abstract

Sensor comprises three capacitor electrodes (5-7) arranged in parallel planes with a hole passing through the capacitor plates for a fluid container (1), the fluid level of which is to be measured. First and second capacitors (8, 9) formed between the three plates form part of first and second RC- members. The latter have different time constants and level measurement is by use of relative alteration of the two time constants, so that the sensors do not require setting or calibrating prior to use.
