Abstract
The concentric hoses (1, 2) are joined to the patient connecting part. The second hose (2) forms the inspiration channel (3), being located inside the first hose (1) forming the expiration channel (4). In the patient connecting part (5) is a first check valve (13) which permits gas flow in the inspiration channel (3) only towards the patient. - A second check valve (16) only permits gas flow in the expiration channel (4) from the patient. The first check valve (13) in the open postion, i.e., that for inspiration, closes a connecting passage (11) in the patient connecting part (7) between the inspiration and expiration channels (3, 4).
