Abstract

To ensure simple and reliable coupling of the braking systems of the tractor and trailer, irrespective of whether the tractor has an electro- pneumatic braking system or a purely pneumatic braking system, a pressure transducer (61) is arranged in a supply line from a coupling parts (37) connectible to the control circuit of the tractor braking system, said pressure transducer sensing the control pressure and sending an electrical signal corresponding thereto to an electrical operating circuit (63, 65, 66, 67) controlling the pneumatic supply circuit (70) in the trailer braking system. <IMAGE>
