Abstract

The alarm system, which can be used as a fire alarm, consists of a central station (2) which evaluates and, if appropriate, issues alarms, from which station (2) at least one two-wire sensor line (1), on which there are a plurality of sensors (19), is conducted. The sensors (19) are connected to one another in a sequential circuit in such a way that each sensor (19) connects the subsequent sensor (19) onto the sensor line (1) after a signal is issued. After the issuing of the signal of the last sensor (19) via a corresponding circuit in the central station (2), a brief interruption in the line voltage is brought about and, then, a new interrogation cycle is initiated. Thus, the interference influences and false alarms which occur with the conventional analog type of measurement value transmission and counting of the incoming reports are avoided to the greatest possible extent. <IMAGE>
