Abstract

The antenna system (1) has a main antenna (2) comprises a dual band Planar Inverted-F Antenna (PIFA) with GSM (4), DCS (5) and parasitic PCS (6) sections. The main and Bluetooth (RTM) (3) antennas are printed close together on the same flexible substrate. The parasitic part acts as a high impedance block between the antennas. The antenna system is connected to radio circuitry via electrical feeding. The parasitic PCS section is resonant at 1900 MHz, about 1/4 wavelength.
