Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for controlling the movement of a first vehicle (60) on a railroad track (12) comprising an intersection (13) of at least three track sections (16, 17, 18). The railroad track includes a monitoring zone (34) and a buffer zone (46) including said intersection, the monitoring zone being defined by a terminal (30) on a first track section (17), equipped with a visual signal (38) to allow or prohibit the movement. The method comprises the following steps: - the visual signal (38) being in a prohibition mode, detecting (24) an entry of a second vehicle (64) in the monitoring zone; then - when the first vehicle (60) is in the buffer zone, the stopping of said first vehicle is commanded until the second vehicle leaves the monitoring zone.
