Usage: agriculture, mainly pneumatic sowing machines for precision sowing of seed drills. SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises a hopper attached to a housing in which a metering disk with suction holes for seeds is placed. A rarefaction chamber is adjacent to the disk. The lower part of the hopper is U-shaped and is formed by two surfaces inclined to each other adjacent to the side surface of the disk. Inside the hopper above one of the inclined surfaces, an additional surface is installed parallel to it, which does not intersect the trajectory of the suction openings of the disk and forms a cavity with this inclined surface that is in communication with a vacuum source and serves to drain excess seeds from the hopper after sowing each portion of seeds. During operation, the seeds are poured into the hopper and on inclined surfaces enter the lower U-shaped part of the hopper. A vacuum is applied to the rarefaction chamber, by which the seeds are sucked to the holes of the disk and last removed when it rotates outside the chamber. After the seeds are taken out of the chamber, the seeds come off from the holes of the disk and fall into the soil. After sowing seeds, the disk stops, the vacuum is disconnected from the rarefaction chamber and fed into the cavity formed by the surfaces. The seeds remaining in the lower part of the hopper after sowing a portion of seeds are sucked from the lower part into a seed container. As a result of this embodiment of the sowing apparatus, the hopper is completely released from the seeds remaining after sowing, the time spent on sowing the selection material is reduced.
