Method of changing information on a search results page comprises determining presence of a signal received from a user, on the need to change information on the search results page by clicking on a graphical interface of one of the indicator buttons with recording the current state, arranged on a computer display screen in a certain order, wherein their each position number corresponds to information of a certain nature peculiar only to that position number, and intended for output to one of the fields on the search results page; determination of position number of pressed indicator button with fixation of current state; determining the displayed on the pressed indicator button with recording the current state of the selected field position number on the search results page if the pressed indicator button is in the "on" state; removing all displayed fields on the search results page for each found document, starting from the selected field position number on the search results page and higher if the field with such position number was displayed on the search results page.

Description

The invention relates to the field of information retrieval, and in particular to graphical user interfaces of information retrieval systems, and can be applied to change information on the search results page.

Moreover, the change in information concerns only the group of lines characterizing a single found document, and does not affect the sequence of these groups, reflecting their relevance to the search query.

Changing information means changing the order of the rows in a group of rows, deleting rows from a group, or adding a row.

In other words, the change of information refers only to a group of lines related to each of the documents found, and the change of information occurs simultaneously for all documents found.

There is a method of changing information on the search results page in the information retrieval system, according to which the main field with the search result line is displayed, the first additional field with additional information about the search results is displayed and when the button corresponding to the first additional field is pressed, which can be displayed simultaneously with the first additional field, displays the second additional field, next to the previously displayed first additional field. That is, the known method allows you to add a field by clicking on the button corresponding to the previous additional field (application for invention RU No. 2016118044 A, publication date 12/20/2017 Bulletin No. 35, prototype).

In other words, a new line displayed on the search results page is accompanied by a button output, which allows you to display the next line with the button and so on. A button to display the next line is generated dynamically with the output of the current next line.

This method also allows you to use the first additional field to display information of the second additional field, that is, use one field to display information of a different nature.

The disadvantage of this method is the inability to change the display order of the fields displayed on the search results page, and to delete all fields whose position numbers on the search results page are greater than or equal to a given value, with one click of a button, that is, the minimum number of user actions.

The technical result achieved by the claimed invention is to implement the functionality of changing the display order of the fields on the search results page.

Definitions, abbreviations and abbreviations

The claimed method of changing information on the search results page is implemented in the information retrieval system, and can be illustrated on its part, namely on the user's computer.

Moreover, the essence of the invention will be clear to a person skilled in the art even only when considering the operation of the interface of the search results page located on the display screen 1 of the user's computer.

First, to implement the claimed method, the graphical user interface of the search results page must have fields 2.

In FIG. 1 shows two fields 2 in the form of a rectangular region, for clarity, having a rectangular contour indicated by a rectangular frame (border). In practice, such a border is absent on the user's computer screen and only the information displayed in field 2 remains on it.

In FIG. 1 shows two fields 2, each of which refers to one of the documents found.

The found document, which is the result of the search, can be characterized by several fields 2 forming a group, and information of a certain nature is displayed in each field 2.

For definiteness and clarity, the description of the invention will consider one of the possible options for information displayed in a separate field 2.

In one of the fields 2 related to one of the documents found and forming a group of fields, information of the following nature can be displayed:

1. “Advertisement” - information about a product or service;

2. “Title” - the title of the advertisement;

3. “Site” - a hyperlink to the website of the advertiser or manufacturer, where you can see detailed information about the product or service;

4. “Full name” - the full name of the advertiser or manufacturer;

5. "Short name" - the short name of the advertiser or manufacturer;

6. “Address” - the address of the advertiser or manufacturer.

The document found in this particular case will be an advertisement, and the field 2 in which it is displayed will be considered the main one. All other information is “Title”, “Site”, etc. is additional to the advertisement, and the fields into which it is displayed will be considered additional.

For definiteness, we assume that fields 2 related to one found document are displayed on the search results page under each other (from top to bottom), with the top field having position one, the next field 2 located below it, having position two and etc. It should be noted that fields 2 can be displayed both from left to right, as well as from left to right and from top to bottom, which is not essential.

Secondly, to implement the claimed method, the interface of the search results page should also have indicator buttons 3 with a fixation of the current state to indicate the position number of field 2 in the field group on them (hereinafter referred to as the abbreviation “indicator buttons” will be used) into which information is displayed whose character corresponds to the position number of the indicator button 3.

The indicator buttons 3 are made with a cyclic change in their state and have two possible states, namely: “on” and “off”. If the indicator button 3 was in the “off” state, then when pressed, it goes into the “on” state. If the indicator button 3 was in the “on” state, then when pressed, it goes into the “off” state.

Pressing the indicator button 3 can occur in various ways, for example, using the mouse (hereinafter referred to as the mouse). If a touch screen is used, the user can touch the screen with a finger or stylus. To press the indicator button means to transfer it to another state in any known manner. For definiteness, we assume that pressing the indicator button 3 will be performed by left-clicking.

The indicator button 3 is made with fixing the current state. This means that after clicking on it, it goes into a new state, which remains until the next click on it.

The indicator buttons 3 are located on the display screen 1 of the user's computer in a certain order, in which each of them corresponds to a position number. In FIG. 1 shows one of the possible options for the location of the indicator buttons 3, namely in a row from left to right. For definiteness, assign the left button-indicator 3 the position number equal to one. To the right of the indicator button 3 with the number one position is the indicator button with the number two position and so on.

To each position number of the indicator button 3, we associate the nature of the information according to table No. 1.

So that the user can quickly navigate in accordance with the position number of the indicator button 3 and the corresponding nature of the information, the latter (see column 2 of Table No. 1) is placed in close proximity to the corresponding indicator button 3.

Consider the option in which fields 1 and indicator buttons 3 are located on the HTML page. Pressing one of the indicator buttons 3 calls up the corresponding software processor, that is, a computer program that controls the process of displaying fields 2 on the screen 1 and displaying the necessary information on the indicator buttons 3.

Consider how the fields are added in the claimed way.

Example No. 1

First, consider the initial state of the search results page.

Let the initial state of the page of the search result correspond to FIG. 1, that is, only the main fields 2 are displayed on the display screen 1. The indicator button 3, having the number one position, is in the “on” state and the number “1” is displayed on it.

The number “1” on the indicator button 3 means that the main fields 2 should be displayed first (in the first position of fields 2), that is, fields 2, into which the information “Advertising” is displayed, on the display button 3. Since all other indicator buttons 3 are in the “off” state, the remaining (additional) fields 2 are not displayed on the display screen 1. Therefore, only the main fields 2 are displayed on the display screen 1. FIG. 1 shows the output of two fields 2, each of which refers to one of the documents found.

In fields 2 in FIG. 1, the characteristics of a particular product should be deduced, however, for simplicity of presentation and a better understanding of the invention, instead of the characteristics of the goods, we will display the name of the nature of the information corresponding to the position number of the indicator button 3, with the addition of a digit indicating the number of the found document.

So, the first line in FIG. 1 with the text “Advertisement 1” means that it displays information having the character “Advertisement” and relating to the first document found. The second row in FIG. 1 with the text “Advertisement 2” means that it displays information that has the character “Advertisement” and related to the second document found. In other words, the first line contains information about the first product, and the second - about the second product.

The remaining indicator buttons 3 shown in FIG. 1, are in the “off” state and, accordingly, nothing is displayed on them.

We proceed to consider the essential features of the claimed method with the necessary explanations.

Determining the presence of a signal from the user about the need to change information on the search results page by pressing one of the indicator buttons 3 on the graphical interface with fixing the current state, located on the computer display screen in a certain order, in which information of a certain nature corresponds to each position number , peculiar only to this position number and intended for output to one of the fields 2 on the search results page.

Suppose that the user needs, in addition to the main field, to display (add) another additional field 2, into which the information “Short name” (“Short name of the manufacturer of the goods”) will be displayed. From FIG. 1 and table No. 1 it follows that for this the user must press the indicator button 3, located in position with the number "5". Therefore, to add field 2, in which information about the abbreviated name of the manufacturer of the goods will be displayed, he must click on the indicator button 3 on the graphical interface located in position with the number "5", that is, the fifth button on the left.

When you click on the indicator button 3, the computer calls up the corresponding position number of the pressed indicator button 3 of the handler program for this click. That is, clicking on one of the indicator buttons 3 calls up the corresponding handler program for this click, which is a signal for the computer to start working according to the claimed method.

Since the pressing of each of the indicator buttons 3 is processed only by the corresponding computer program (the handler for pressing the indicator button 3), the position number of the pressed indicator button 3 is determined by the number of the corresponding handler program for this click. To memorize the position number of the pressed indicator button 3, you can enter a variable. For example, when you click on the indicator button 3 on the graphical interface located in the position with the number "5", this variable is assigned the value "5".

Information on whether the indicator button 3 is in the “on” or “off” state can, for example, be stored in a variable corresponding to the program handler for pressing a certain indicator button 3. Such a variable can be, for example, a logical one that takes one of two values: “true "Or" false. "

Now it remains to determine the position number of field 2 on the search results page, into which field 2 with information "Short name" should be displayed.

To do this, determine a number equal to the maximum number displayed on the indicator buttons, which is greater than or equal to one, plus one or a number equal to one otherwise.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, only on one of the indicator buttons 3 was a number displayed, namely on the indicator button 3, having the position number of the indicator button 3 equal to “1”. This number "1" is the maximum and it satisfies the condition "greater than or equal to one." To obtain the desired position number of field 2 on the search results page, into which field 2 with the information “Abbreviated name” should be displayed, it is necessary to increase this number by one. As a result, we get the number "2".

In the calculated position, whose number is “2”, the computer program and displays field 2 with the information “Short Name 1” for the first document found, and also displays field 2 with the information “Short Name 2” for the second document found.

On the pressed indicator button 3, the calculated position equal to "2" is displayed, and the indicator button 3 goes into the "on" state.

As a result, the search results page takes the form shown in FIG. 2.

In FIG. 2 it can be seen that on the indicator button 3 having the position number “1”, the number “1” is indicated, and on the indicator button 3 having the position number “5”, the number “2” is displayed. In FIG. 2 for the first document found, two fields 2 are displayed, the first of which displays the information “Advertisement 1”, the second - “Short name 1”, and for the second found document two fields 2 are also displayed, the first of which displays information “ Advertisement 2 ", and the second -" Short name 2 ".

The above example No. 1 of adding a field shows that the added field 2 can be any (in this case, field 2 “Short name” with the position “5” has been added) from among the fields not yet displayed 2, which cannot be obtained using the prototype method.

The prototype allows only the output of the next field in order.

So for the prototype, if the initial state of the search results page corresponds to FIG. 1, it was possible to add only field 2 with information of the “Heading” character, assuming that the output of fields 2 is carried out in the following order “1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6”, that is, “Advertisement”, “ Title ”,“ Site ”and so on.

Example No. 2 (Adding all other fields 2 not yet displayed on the search results page, in ascending order)

Assume that the search results page has the form according to FIG. one.

Then, to add all the other fields 2 in ascending order, the user needs to sequentially press the indicator buttons 3 in the order of “2, 3, 4, 5, 6”, that is, “Advertisement”, “Title”, “Website” and so on .

As a result, the search results page will be as shown in FIG. 3, that is, on the indicator buttons 3, starting from the first position in ascending order, the numbers “1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6” will be displayed, and fields 2 will contain lines in the following order:

Consider how the change in the order in which fields 2 are displayed on the search results page of the claimed method.

In short, first all fields 2 are deleted, starting with the position number of field 2, from which the user wants to start changing the output order of fields 2 and above, and then the fields 2 are added in the order the user needs.

Example No. 3

Suppose that the user wants to change the order in which fields 2 are displayed, starting with the number “3” (“Site”) and higher, and presses the indicator button 3, on which the number “3” is displayed. The output order of the first two fields 2 suits the user. The first two fields are displayed in the following order:

- “Advertisement 1”;

- “Heading 1”;

- “Advertisement 2”;

- "Heading 2".

We proceed to consider the essential features of the claimed method with the necessary explanations.

Since the selected position number of field 2 was set equal to "3", then on the search results page, all fields 2 are deleted, starting with the number "3" and higher, that is, fields 2 will be deleted, in which the following information was displayed:

- “Address 1”;

- “Site 2”;

- “Full name 2”;

- “Short title 2”;

- “Address 2”.

Also, the indicator buttons 3 are translated with fixing the current state to the “off” state, starting from the position number of the pressed indicator button 3 equal to “3” and higher, and the information corresponding to the “off” state is output to them.

The output of the information corresponding to the “off” state to the indicator buttons 3 can be carried out, for example, in the following ways:

- on the indicator button 3, the displayed information is deleted;

- on the indicator button 3, the digit zero is displayed.

Sign No. 5 is not executed, since the pressed indicator button 3 was in the “on” state before being pressed.

The result of example No. 3 of deleting fields (rows) 2, starting from position number 3 and above, is the state of the search results page, which is shown in FIG. 4. In FIG. Figure 4 shows that on the search results page, fields 2 are displayed in the following order:

- “Advertisement 1”;

- “Heading 1”;

- “Advertisement 2”;

- "Heading 2".

In FIG. 4 it is also shown that on the indicator button 3 having the position number “1”, the number “1” is displayed, on the indicator button 3 having the position number “2”, the number “2” is displayed, and on the remaining indicator buttons 3 nothing is displayed.

From the above it follows that the claimed method allows for all documents found to delete all fields 2, the positions of which on the search results page are greater than or equal to the specified value, and with one click on the indicator button 3, that is, the minimum number of user actions.

If now, using the claimed method, add one field 2 as described in example No. 3, and add fields 2 in the required order, we will get the desired changed order of fields 2 on the search results page.

A computer-implemented method for changing information on a search results page, comprising: determining the presence of a signal from the user about the need to change the information on the search results page by pressing one of the indicator buttons on the graphical interface with fixing the current state, located on the computer screen in a certain order, in which information of a certain character corresponds to each position number peculiar only to this position number and intended to be displayed in one of the fields on the search results page; determination of the position number of the pressed indicator button with fixing the current state; determination of the displayed on the pressed indicator button with fixing the current state of the selected field position number on the search results page, if the pressed indicator button was in the “on” state; deleting all displayed fields on the search results page for each document found, starting from the selected field position number on the search results page and above, if a field with such a position number was displayed on the search results page, as well as translating indicator buttons with fixing the current state to the state is “off”, starting from the position number of the pressed indicator button with fixing the current state and above, and outputting information corresponding to the state “off” to them; if the pressed indicator button is in the “off” state, then for each document found, information is displayed in the field on the search results page having the position number of the pressed indicator button with fixing the current state, and the indication on this indicator button with fixing the current state a number equal to the maximum number displayed on the indicator buttons, which is greater than or equal to one, plus one or a number equal to one otherwise. 2.
