Abstract
Description
The invention relates to wind energy and to methods for converting, storing and using wind energy.
19). A known method of converting wind energy into electrical energy using a high-speed wind turbine with a small number of blades (up to four) and a vertical axis of rotation (journal "Science and Life", 7, 1989, p. 19).
The disadvantages of this method include the need to use a high-speed wind turbine and step-up gear, low quality of electricity due to the inconstancy of the wind in strength and time. To improve the characteristics of electricity, complex systems for controlling the wheel speed, voltage regulators in the windings of the generator and AC synchronizers are needed if the energy of several units is combined. The variability of the wind and the inconsistency of energy consumption during the day necessitates accumulation. It is difficult to accumulate electricity in large volumes. Inevitable losses lead to its appreciation. In addition, the batteries themselves are quite expensive and short-lived. All this complicates the design and increases the cost of the wind turbine and the generated electricity.
There is a method of accumulating electricity by converting it into compressed air energy (G. G. Olkhovsky. "Energy gas turbine units", Energoatomizdat, 1985, 285). The disadvantages of this method is that when energy is accumulated in this way, already generated electricity is used, which leads to unavoidable losses. When air is compressed, heat is generated, which is very difficult to return to the charge-discharge cycle, in addition, electricity is also lost in the windings of the electric motor that drives the compressor.
There is also a method of accumulating solar thermal energy by melting (journal "Science and Life", 3, 1974, p. 19 article "Accumulation by fusion"). The disadvantage of this method is the need to concentrate solar energy to obtain high temperatures, and the location of the heat accumulators on the earth's surface leads to unavoidable heat losses even with good thermal insulation and can be dangerous if the integrity of the body of the heat accumulator is violated.
The closest adopted for the prototype is a method of generating thermal energy using wind (Journal of Youth Technology, 3 1987, pp. 20 and 21, article "Vetro, Helio and others"). The disadvantages of this method are the accumulation of heat by heating a steel cylinder and the incomplete use of wind energy due to the lack of accumulation of compressed air.
The objective of the invention is to reduce energy losses in the process of conversion, accumulation and use of wind energy, increase the reliability and durability of a wind turbine, simplify and cheapen its equipment, reduce the cost of electricity and improve its quality.
The problem is solved in that in the method of converting wind energy into thermal energy by compressing air, accumulating heat and using it according to the invention, the air is compressed to 1-3 MPa. The released heat is accumulated in the underground heat accumulator by the method of melting substances. Then, the air cooled in the heat accumulator is compressed to 5-10 MPa, the newly released heat is accumulated in the heat accumulator, and the compressed air is accumulated in the underground constant pressure pneumatic accumulator, after which the compressed air and heat are used for their intended purpose.
A complex for converting, accumulating and using wind energy, including a wind wheel, a compressor, an air-water heat exchanger and heat consumers, according to the invention, consists of a high-torque feather wind turbine, a high pressure adiabatic compressor, a melting heat accumulator with heat transfer and removal heat exchangers, a moisture separator, constant pressure pneumatic accumulator, reservoir displacement capacity, heat and compressed air consumers.
The proposed method of converting, storing and using wind energy simplifies the process of converting to other types of energy, reduces the cost of the wind turbine and its equipment, does not require precise stabilization of the wheel speed, and a large torque is transmitted directly to the compressor and provides simultaneously two types of energy in the form of compressed air and heat. In addition, combined storage reduces energy loss during its production, storage, consumption and allows you to create a single system for the storage of wind and solar energy.
The patent studies did not reveal similar technical solutions, which allows us to conclude about the novelty and inventive step because this technical solution does not follow explicitly from the existing level of technology.
The drawing shows a complex that allows to implement the present invention, which consists of a
TA is a reinforced concrete heat-insulated sealed container, with
21. Next, compressed air through
22. PA is a container with a variable volume, where the pressure remains constant. A
As compressed air from PA is used, water replaces the vacated volume, thereby maintaining the necessary pressure. The
8, 9. Heat is taken from the heat accumulator by supplying water or low-boiling liquid from below through the
Also, for the production of electricity, compressed air can be supplied to the air motor 24, which drives the electric generator 23, and in the case of using accumulated energy, compressed air from
In the expander, there is a decrease in temperature and partial liquefaction of
