Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest system oraz sposób detekcji kształtu oraz rozmiarów obiektów trójwymiarowych, który ma zastosowanie zwłaszcza do tworzenia wirtualnych modeli 3D obiektów. System do detekcji kształtu oraz rozmiarów obiektów trójwymiarowych charakteryzuje się tym, że zawiera co najmniej jeden zbiór jednostek detekcyjnych (101) przystosowany do umieszczania w ograniczonej fizycznie przestrzeni pomiarowej (A), tak aby w trakcie pomiaru zapewniać kontakt fizyczny każdej jednostce detekcyjnej (101) z co najmniej jedną inną jednostką detekcyjną (101), przy czym każda jednostka detekcyjna (101) posiada unikalny w skali globalnej identyfikator (ID) oraz co najmniej jeden dwukierunkowy port komunikacyjny (104), przystosowany do nadawania/odbierania co najmniej informacji o identyfikatorze do/od przylegającej jednostki detekcyjnej (101), przy czym każda jednostka detekcyjna (101) jest przystosowana do zapamiętywania co najmniej informacji o identyfikatorze przylegającej jednostki detekcyjnej (101), jednostkę obliczeniową (108) będącą w komunikacji z co najmniej jedną jednostką detekcyjną (101) z co najmniej jednego zbioru jednostek detekcyjnych (101), przystosowaną do zbierania informacji co najmniej o parach identyfikatorów przylegających do siebie jednostek detekcyjnych (101).The subject of the notification is a system and a method of detecting the shape and size of three-dimensional objects, which is particularly applicable to creating virtual 3D models of objects.
