Abstract

A device for preparing coffee where water in a closed container 1 is boiled, then the water is pressed into an open compartment 6 through an ascension pipe 12, after which the prepared coffee drink is filtered back to the closed compartment 1 through a filter arranged at the outlet from the open compartment. The closed container is equipped with at the least one heating element 10 with at least two power levels for bringing the water in the closed compartment to the boil and to control the temperature us of the coffee drink within a narrow temperature range below the boiling point of the coffee drink.
