Abstract

The inspection system provides a number of optical images of the bottle mouth, directed onto at least one image detector, with subsequent image evaluation for acceptance or rejection of the inspected bottle. Pref. a mirror device (6) with a number of planar mirrors (9) is used for providing the optical images of the bottle mouth, received by the CCD image sensor of a video camera (5). The images are selected so that together they provide a 360 degree view of the bottle mouth.
