Description
The invention relates to a menstrual tampon with a pull-out band extending through the tampon.
Tampons are distinguished by their high expansion capacity and high suction capacity, so that they have become widely used in practice. As a rule, a fiber pile is used as a liquid-absorbing material, which fiber pile consists of natural fibers, preferably cotton and possibly also cellulose, and also in some cases a mixture of artificial fibers. Although the random orientation of the fibers gives such a fiber pile a certain firmness, the individual fibers are nevertheless mainly aligned in the longitudinal direction of the pile strip. The fibers therefore run along the longitudinal sides and on the surface of the fluff strip approximately parallel to the longitudinal sides and the surfaces, while the ends of a fluff strip are formed by fiber ends. Up until now, flor strips of this type have either been rolled up from one end, as is the case, for example. is described in the German patent document no. 804,835, or a winding fork is used which grips across a fleece strip in such a way that the distance from the winding mandrel to the ends of the fleece strip is different and only one end of the fleece strip is left on the outer circumference of the finished wrap (German patent document no. 915,382). In all cases, efforts are made to arrange the extraction thread as much as possible in the center of the tampon so that the pulling forces there can attack the tampon material.
The purpose of the invention is to improve a tampon of the type mentioned at the outset, so that while maintaining a good expansion capacity and suction capacity, it has increased stability and so that it is ensured that the tampon holds together well.
Ifølge oppfinnelsen er det tilveiebragt en menstruasjonstampong med et gjennom tampongen forløpende uttrekksbånd, hvilken tampong er kjennetegnet ved kombinasjonen av følgende According to the invention, a menstrual tampon is provided with a pull-out band running through the tampon, which tampon is characterized by the combination of the following
trekk: traits:
På denne måte kan det fremstilles en tampong med øket a) at least one strip of a material that absorbs liquid, at least from its two ends, is wound up essentially on itself to form a blank, b) the winding direction for the two ends of the strip is optionally carried out with the opposite or equal direction of rotation, c ) the blank is radially pressed to the tampon's final shape. In this way, a tampon with wax can be produced
fasthet, god ekspansjonsevne og sugekapasitet og fast sammenholding. firmness, good expansion capacity and suction capacity and firm cohesion.
A further embodiment entails that a further winding is also provided when a middle length section of the strip is rolled up. Thereby, the tampon's stability can be improved because in the event of a one-sided load on the tampon during extraction, the windings connected to each other through the fleece strip can repel each other.
1-8 fremstilt, The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawings, where Fig. 1-8 show perspective views of various preferred embodiments, and Fig. 9 shows one of the blanks in fig. 1-8 produced,
radielt presset tampong, også denne vist i perspektiv. radially pressed tampon, also shown in perspective.
I fig. 9, a menstrual tampon 1 is shown. It consists of at least one strip of material that absorbs liquid
og som i det vesentlige er rullet opp rundt seg selv og deretter er underkastet en radiell pressing slik at den får den viste and which is essentially rolled up around itself and is then subjected to a radial pressing so that it obtains the shown
sluttform. Optionally, a small axial pressing can also be carried out, whereby e.g. the insertion end of the tampon is rounded.
Råemner for en slik tampong er vist i fig. 1-8. Raw materials for such a tampon are shown in fig. 1-8.
These raw materials are produced by rolling up a strip of a material that can absorb liquid, e.g. a wadding that is composed of natural and/or artificial fibers lying in a random orientation. The winding takes place by at least starting from both ends of a strip and towards its middle part.
I fig. In fig. 1, the pile strip is denoted by 2 and it is wound by the winding being carried out from the two ends of the pile strip. The direction of rotation of the two windings 2a, 2b is opposite to each other so that a middle floral section 2c connects the two windings to each other in a tangential plane. The axes of the two windings are parallel to each other and lie in a plane which runs parallel to and at a distance from the outer central floral section 2c.
A double-laid pull-out band 3 with a loop 3a is led out through one end of the winding 2a on the pull-out side of the tampon. The double pull-out band 3 is passed centrally through the winding 2a and forms a loop 3b. The pull-out tape is passed through the winding 2b and through the loop 3a. In this way, a firm anchoring of the pull-out band is formed and, moreover, the pull-out band holds the two windings 2a, 2b together in a position where they touch each other.
Utførelsen i fig. 1. Fig. 4 svarer til utførelsesformen i fig. 3. 2 differs from that in fig. 1 only in that the pull-out tape is made as a single thread which is passed centrally through the two windings 2a, 2b and is tied together at 4c. The knot is designed so that the formed loop 4d provides sufficient clearance so that the tampon, when moistened, can expand to the one in fig. 2 showed the shape of the blank. Fig. 3 shows a blank which consists of two parallel windings 5a, 5b lying opposite each other, provided by winding from the strip ends in the same direction of rotation. The floral section 5c which connects the two windings 5a, 5b to each other thus has a slight S-shape. Here, too, the two windings are connected to each other by means of a double pull-out band, in the same way as in fig. 1. Fig. 4 corresponds to the embodiment in fig. 3. The difference here is that a single pull-out band is used as in fig. 2. Fig. 5 shows a blank which is assembled from three coils 6a, 6b and 6c. The winding direction is opposite to the clockwise direction of rotation for all windings, so that the sections 6d and 6e which connect the windings to each other also here have a slight S-shape in cross-section. The windings lie in a common plane and parallel to each other so that a tampon pressed from this raw material will tend to expand to the one in fig. 5 shown form and can thereby advantageously adapt to the cross-section of the female body cavity. The central fold 1 6b is formed by winding up the middle longitudinal section of the fleece strip, e.g. by means of a rotatable winding fork that grips over the strip approximately in the middle of it. The inner end 6f of the fleece strip therefore forms a U-shaped cross-section
Det dobbelt lagte uttrekksbånd 7 er ført henholdsvis gjennom viklene 6a og 6c og gjennom A pull-out band 7 is passed through the central winding forming a loop 7a. The double-layered pull-out band 7 is led respectively through the windings 6a and 6c and through
5. På denne måten er man sikret en sammenholding på en løs men likevel tilstrekkelig måte mellom de tre viklene i råemnet ved hjelp av uttrekksbåndet, samtidig som uttrekksbåndet er festet. the loop 7a, as is clear from fig. 5. In this way, a connection is ensured in a loose but still sufficient way between the three windings in the blank by means of the pull-out tape, at the same time that the pull-out tape is fixed.
Utførelsen i fig. 5. The embodiment in fig. 6 differs from the embodiment in fig. 5 in that the windings are arranged in a triangular pattern. Such an arrangement of the windings 8a, 8b and 8c can be advantageous in terms of the stability of the pressed tampon. The routing of the pull-out tape through the windings corresponds to that used in fig. 5.
Utførelsen i fig. 7 differs from that in fig. 5 in that two windings 9a, 9b are wound up in opposite directions of rotation, while the winding 9c is wound up with the same direction of rotation as the winding 9a. The central winding 9b is in the same way as the central winding 6b' in fig. 5 and 8b in fig. 6 formed by rolling up or winding up the middle longitudinal section of the fleece strip, so that the inner end 9d in cross section forms a loop. A pull-out band 7 connects the windings 9a, 9b and 9c to each other at the same time
måte som i fig. 5. Råemnet i fig. 8 er tilveiebragt ved at vikkelen 9a i fig. 7 er lagt mot de to viklene 9e og 9c, slik at manner as in fig. 5. The blank in fig. 8 is provided by the winding 9a in fig. 7 is placed against the two windings 9e and 9c, so that
8 får et trekantmønster for viklene 10a, 10b og 10c. here too, in the same way as in fig. 8 gets a triangular pattern for the windings 10a, 10b and 10c.
The pull-out band 7 is double and is passed through the winding 10b, while the ends 7b and 7c are passed through the other two windings 10a and 10c respectively and through the loop 7a. This arrangement of the pull-out band corresponds to that shown in fig. 5, 6 and 7.
Samtlige råemner i fig. All blanks in fig. 1-8 can by means of radial compression be brought to the final cylindrical form of the tampon shown in fig. 9. When the tampon 1 in fig. 9 is used, it will expand substantially cylindrically when wetted with liquid. In none of the design examples, one end of the preferably carded cotton wool strip will lie freely at the outer circumference of the blank or the tampon, thereby preventing fiber lint from being left hanging when the tampon is taken out of the body cavity. Furthermore, it is ensured that the raw material does not dissolve when the tampon is pulled out, because all the windings are connected to each other by the special fastening of the pull-out band without the expansion ability of the fiber material being hindered. It is also ensured that parts of the fiber material cannot loosen in relation to other fiber material in the direction of extraction.
