Abstract
A method where the base station (BS) will ensure the best quality of the multicast data is transmitted by dynamically changing the modulation and coding scheme by which the multicast data is sent to the mobile stations (MS), depending on the factors related to the channel condition of the area the MS have moved to, dynamically moving the MS to a new group based on the modulation and coding scheme that has been selected, assigning a new multicast address to the new group, and the movement of the MS is locally done by the BS, without the intervention of the Access Service Network Gateway (ASN-GW).
