Abstract
A HDD glass substrate of the present invention is characterized in that it includes a glass composition having, by mo!%, the following content range: 60% to 75% of SiO2; 0.1 % to 6% of AhO3; 0% to 3% of B2O3; 0.1 % to 5% of LhO; 0.1 % to 6% of Na2O; 0.1% to 5% of K2O; 5% to 18% of MgO; 0.1% to 10% of CaO; 0% to 5% of ZnO; 0% to 5% of TiO2; and 0.1% to 5% of ZrO2, the glass composition satisfying the following conditions: 0.01 < (ZrO2 + TiO2)/(SiO2 + AhO3 + B2O3) < 0.15; 0.1 < Li20/(LhO + Na2O + K2O) < 0.8; and 0.3 mol% < (Li2O + Na2O + K2O) < 15 mol%.
