Compressed gas data is monitored and recorded. A communication interface is coupled to a device that supports at least one flow and storage of a compressed gas. The device detects data related to compressed gas. Data is automatically collected via a communication interface in a first data store every first time increment of a first time period. Portions of the data from the first data store are automatically collected into a second data store every second time increment of every first time period. The second time increment is greater than the first time increment. The pieces of data are collected for a second time period that is greater than the first time period.
