Abstract

Se describe un proceso para la recuperación de litio de arcilla, que comprende: (a) proporcionar una cantidad de arcilla que tiene un contenido de arcilla moscovita y sanidina; (b) separar las partículas de arcilla que tienen un tamaño de partícula menor a 20 µm, de preferencia por medio de cribado o separación magnética; (c) lixiviar dicho material particulado con ácido, de preferencia ácido sulfúrico, y (d) obtener una cantidad de litio lixiviado.
