Abstract

The closed hinged footwear of the invention allows those using ankle and foot splints to wear them with safety, comfort and adjustment. The invention has an image similar to a normal footwear, providing advantages for the working and social integration of the individual.

Description

CLOSED ARTICULATED FOOTWEAR FOR FEMALE SEALS Field of Invention The present invention refers to a footwear that allows to accommodate custom foot and ankle splints, in one or both feet so that the user has a balanced gait, fulfilling the comfort, safety and stability requirements of a natural gait. .
Background of the Invention Traditionally, individuals who need to bring foot or ankle splints during the recovery processes of a musculoskeletal trauma or for a motor pathology or neuromotor problem, have the situation of having to use when walking deformed shoes or not bring footwear properly , having an imbalance that affects their progress, stability and self-esteem. According to the case, if it is a single lower limb, the affected one or both, they usually have to adapt the splints to that foot, sometimes breaking a shoe so that it can lodge it. The user in these conditions is perceived as deformed and ill, which can affect their self-confidence, even delaying their recovery or integration into productive or social life.
Not having a balanced gait, with support at the same height, affects the trajectories of the plantar pressures and the distribution of forces in general, with a different resulting bone wear, potentially causing other health problems. The present invention is about a closed articulated footwear that helps contain the foot ferula system with proper and balanced adjustment, reducing alterations in balance.
Many developments of open footwear in the instep area, which use sailboat belts or the like as an adjustment element, are found in the patents registered. There is even a variety of footwear called "post-operative" with these characteristics, but with respect to which our invention has marked differences.
As an illustration, there is the patent US6212798 wherein the illustrated footwear does not have front protection for the toes, nor does it have an element for adjusting the length in the area of the heel or tape heel in the back area of the foot.
In patent application US2012 / 0116275 a convertible boot and post-operative footwear is presented in a single element, which, although it resembles what we propose to cover the condition of accommodating an orthotic element, again does not present protection in the Ortejos area does not guarantee that a template that is worn is free of longitudinal displacement.
In the patent application US29012 / 0145167 a ferular therapeutic shoe is presented which, among other characteristics, includes the splint with pre-established size. In our invention it is possible to accommodate in footwear any type and size of splint, which can be built according to the specific needs of each user or patient, so that it turns out to be a custom shoe-splint system.
Detailed description of the invention.
Thus, for the solution of the described problem, a "closed articulated footwear" (Figure 1) is proposed, formed by an anti-slip sole and a cut having as distinctive elements, a foil with parts of Lycra or other similar expanded material; ribbons with sailboat (or fastening clips) in sufficient number and size to guarantee fit, form and grip; heel with one or two adjustment tapes, also with sailboat or fastening clips and hardware.
It incorporates this footwear flexible, compressible, compensation templates that have a dynamic and proportional relationship with the splint. (Figure 2) This "closed articulated footwear" accommodates the foot and ankle splints, protecting the entire foot with a volume adjustment (strong ...) and length in the heel area. (Figure 3) All these adjustments with the tapes provided for the case. Volume and length in the heel area of the foot-splint assembly vary according to the user, but this footwear allows its proper accommodation, providing optimal comfort and fit. The view of this set, foot-splint-footwear is such that it equates to the common foot-footwear, so that the user does not feel inhibited in its use, as with traditional orthopedic shoes.
The back of the cut (heel) is in this footwear a separate element, since it seeks to accommodate larger volumes in this area. The heel piece overlaps with the rest of the cut having a running joint on the bottom with the sole. This construction facilitates the opening of the whole so that the pie-ferula assembly easily. Footwear is perceived as a unit.
For adjustment to the length in the heel area, one or more adjustment straps are, as noted. They can occur on both sides of the shoe or only on the outer side in order to avoid friction or obstructions when walking.
Although the closed articulated footwear can be constructed of different materials (Figure 4), the leather-textile combination is what gives the product better comfort properties. The textile for example allows perspiration and is expandable, while the leather helps to maintain the shape of the product.
Lightweight outsole for easy removal and adaptation, padded tongue to mold footwear around the foot, reinforced helmet (Figure 4) to protect the fingers, buttress heel extended with self-adjustment for the introduction of the ankle splint.

Claims (9)

CLAIMS Having sufficiently described our invention, we consider as a novelty and therefore claim as our exclusive property, what is contained in the following clauses:
1. A closed articulated shoe that accommodates foot-ankle splints of different thicknesses and materials, including adjustment tapes in volume and length in the heel area, as well as height compensation templates.
2. The articulated footwear claimed in 1, which also has two elements in the cut, front and back.
3. The articulated footwear claimed in 1, where in addition the volume adjustment tapes have sailboat or brooch to hold.
4. The articulated footwear claimed in 1, where in addition the volume adjustment tapes accommodate stiffs of between E and EEEE.
5. The articulated footwear claimed in 1, where the tapes of adjustment of the length in the heel area allow a variation of between 1 and 15 mm which is equivalent to 3 sizes.
