Abstract

The present invention describes a device for evaluating the roasting of coffee, which device consists of a cabinet with a slidable drawer, a touch screen, a digital camera, a lighting system, a light-conditioning plate and a digital system, which, once a sample of coffee has been placed in the interior thereof by means of the slidable drawer, allows the operator to obtain the degree of roasting of said coffee by touching a button on the touch screen, with the result that the digital system operates the lighting system in order to then activate the camera in order to obtain an image, evaluate the coloration of the sample and display the result obtained on the screen. The aim of this invention is to provide a device for evaluating the degree of roasting of the coffee, which device makes it possible to advance the roasting process in the coffee-processing industry in an objective manner and eliminates the appraisal errors caused by operators.
