Abstract

The axial excitation inductor machine containing one- or two-core stator 1 with teeth 2 and armature winding 3 in stator slots, and also an excitation windings is offered (Fig.1 presents the fragments of core of the stator and the rotor, coaxial excitation coil is not shown). The rotor 4 with teeth 5 has no windings, but the high-energy magnets 6 are fastened in its slots, which are made of magnetically hard material, for example Neodymium-Ferrum-Borum (Nd-Fe-B) material. Slots of the rotor and magnets have trapezoidal forms, and the width of a magnet on the rotor slots is equal to the width of the rotor tooth and tooth's division of the stator. At the same time lateral sides of the magnets and slots of the rotor are not parallel and they are separated by non-magnetic wedges 7 made, for example, of glass-cloth-base-laminate. In order to increase the reliability of adjoining elements of the rotor they have glutinous connection, while for the reduction of magnetic fluxes pulsations of permanent magnets, the stator's slots are made semi-closed. The armature winding is fixed in slots with the help of not magnetic wedges 8.The axial excitation inductor machine operates as follows. During the rotation of the rotor the stator's teeth have a reverse magnetization with the big amplitude of the flux, owing to the magnet's activity (N-S) and magnetomotive force of the excitation winding (Fe) directed oppositely to it. Extra high electromotive force is appeared in coils of an armature winding. The chosen correlation of the sizes and magnetomotive force of the teeth zone, at the increased energy of permanent magnets and semi-closed stator slots, practically exclude magnetic fluxes pulsations of permanent magnets, hence, there are no losses and heating from eddy currents. As a result, the flux linkage with coils of an armature windings increases, as well as electromotive force and specific power of the electric machine by the saved opportunity of the voltage regulation. Specific features of the magnet's fastening in the rotor slots increase the reliability of the offered axial excitation inductor machine.
