The present invention seeks to provide a multimedia distribution system coupled to a client display and graphic video output devices. An output device connected to an existing POS system or cash register can display purchase information in a more convenient way for the customer compared to traditional customer displays. Also, this device can simultaneously distribute information or advertising via multimedia messaging to the customer. The retailer provides the unit with a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), since the unit is connected to an existing cash register or POS and does not require a separate system for information transfer.

The process of displaying a multimedia message requires a calculated energy supplied from the POS system or the central processing unit of the cash register, thus eliminating the need for a separate system to provide information.

Because the display is focused on the specific customer being served, it comes with the ability to control the cashier's specific action. If the multimedia message is displayed on the same screen at the time of the transaction, the customer is not distracted by other information sources. This increases the impact of the multimedia message.
