Abstract

본 발명은 MPEG과 AC-3의 압축알고리즘에 의해 각각 부호화되고 압축된 오디오 비트스트림을 호환있게 복호화할 수 있도록 한 MPEG과 AC-3 겸용 디지탈 오디오신호의 복호화장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 디지탈 오디오신호의 복호화장치는부호화기로부터 부호화된 오디오 비트스트림에 사용한 오디오 압축방식을 나타내는 비트데이타를 부가하여 전송시 이를수신하여 부가된 오디오 압축방식의 비트데이타를 디코딩하는 디코더와, MPEG의 압축알고리즘에 의해 압축부호화된 오디오 비트스트림을 디코딩하여 원래 오디오신호로 복원하는 MPEG 오디오 디코더와,AC-3의 압축알고리즘에 의해 압축부호화된 오디오 비트스트림을 디코딩하여 원래 오디오신호로 복원하는 AC-3오디오디코더, 및 디코딩된 오디오 압축방식의 비트데이타에 따라 MPEG 오디오디코더와 AC-3오디오디코더중 해당하는 하나의 오디오디코더만이 동작가능한 인에이블상태가 되도록 제어하는 제어부로 구성된다.The present invention relates to an apparatus for decoding a digital audio signal for both MPEG and AC-3, which enables to decode compatible audio bitstreams encoded and compressed by MPEG and AC-3 compression algorithms, respectively.
