Abstract
본 발명은 스카시 백플레인(SCSI Backplane)을 사용하여 하드 디스크 드라이브를 장착하기 위한 하드 디스크 드라이브 장착장치에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 SCSI 백플레인 보드를 구비하는 컴퓨터 시스템에 있어서 적어도 한개 이상의 하드 디스크 드라이브를 장착하기 위한 하드 디스크 드라이브 장착장치에 있어서 ; 상기 SCSI 백플레인 보드 상기 SCSI 백플레인 보드에 하드 디스크 드라이브 구동용 전원을 공급하기위한 전원공급수단:과 상기 SCSI 백플레인 보드와 상기 하드 디스크 드라이브 사이에서 상기 하드 디스크 드라이브를 장착하는데 필요로 하는 신호를 전달하기 위한 인터페이스수단으로 구성된다. 따라서 본 발명에 의한 하드 디스크 드라이브 장착장치에서 SCSI 백플레인 보드를 이용함으로써 케이블을 사용하지 않고 HDD의 착탈이 가능하고, SCSI 백플레인 보드상에서 자동으로 HDD SCSI 어드레스 ID가 세팅되는 이점이 있다.The present invention relates to a hard disk drive mounting apparatus for mounting a hard disk drive using a SCSI backplane.
