Abstract
2채널 이상의 디지탈오디오 데이터 압축기기에 적용되는 데이터 압축회로에 관한 것으로, 특히 서브밴드분석/합성기법을 이용하는 데이터 압축기기에 적용할수 있는 다채널 스테레오 신호 압축회로에 관한 것이다.The present invention relates to a data compression circuit applied to a two-channel or more digital audio data compressor, and more particularly, to a multi-channel stereo signal compression circuit applicable to a data compressor using a subband analysis / synthesis technique.
종래의 데이타 압축회로는 고역신호에 대해서만 조인트스테레오모드를 적용하므로 인간의 청각특성상 인지하기 어렵고 스테레오신호로서 의미가 적은 아주낮은 주파수대역신호를 효율적으로 압축하지 못하는 결점이 있다.In the conventional data compression circuit, since the joint stereo mode is applied only to a high-frequency signal, it is difficult to recognize due to human hearing characteristics and has a drawback in that it cannot efficiently compress a very low frequency band signal having a small meaning as a stereo signal.
