Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electronic device that processes to provide a broadcast service and a method for controlling the same.
In order to provide a broadcast service, the electronic device must have a broadcast standard suitable for the type of broadcast signal. That is, when the electronic device does not have a tuner for receiving a broadcast signal to be provided with a broadcast service, the corresponding broadcast signal cannot be received.
For example, ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) 3.0, which has recently been drawing attention as a next-generation digital broadcasting standard, provides various network-linked services in addition to broadcast, high-definition video, and immersive audio that provide high data rates. It is a standard that can provide both broadcasting services through convergence with broadband. Among them, information including SLT (Service List Table), which is broadcast service information required to provide broadcast content on TV, is ATSC 3.0 that supports ATSC 3.0 Physical Layer, even though broadcast content through broadband is transmitted by DASH protocol through network. It can be received through the tuner. Accordingly, there is a problem in that a device without an ATSC 3.0 tuner cannot watch ATSC 3.0 broadband broadcasts.

3 is a diagram illustrating an operation flowchart of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention. According to an embodiment of the present invention, even in a device not equipped with a tuner of a broadcast signal to be received, a corresponding broadcast service can be provided through service information reception, so that the user's satisfaction in using the electronic device can be increased, and the broadcast service standard It can also help spread.
4 is a block diagram illustrating a protocol stack according to the ATSC 3.0 standard. This drawing describes how the
브로드캐스트 방식의 방송신호는 MMTP(MPEG Media transport protocol) 프로토콜 또는 ROUTE(Real time object delivery over Unidirectional transport) MMTP 프로토콜에 따르면, MMT(MPEG Media Transport)에 근거하여 MPU(Media Processing units)가 MMTP를 이용하여 전송된다. ROUTE 프로토콜에 따르면, MPEG DASH(Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP)에 근거하여, DASH 세그먼트(segment)가 ROUTE를 이용하여 전송된다. In the ATSC 3.0 standard, broadcast signals are transmitted in two ways: broadcast and broadband. A broadcast signal of the broadcast method may be transmitted through a terrestrial path using an MPEG Media Transport Protocol (MMTP) protocol or a Real time object delivery over Unidirectional transport (ROUTE) protocol. According to the MMTP protocol, based on MPEG Media Transport (MMT), Media Processing units (MPUs) are transmitted using MMTP. According to the ROUTE protocol, based on MPEG DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP), a DASH segment is transmitted using ROUTE. Content transmitted by moving MMTP or ROUTE may be in real time or non-real time (NRT). These contents can be played by MPU Player or DASH Player.
Broadband broadcast signals are transmitted over a network according to the HTTP protocol. In this case, information such as a DASH segment, signaling information, and NRT is transmitted through HTTP. This information is encapsulated in the link layer through the TCP and IP layers, and is transmitted through processing for transmission in the physical layer. Signaling of ATSC 3.0 is divided into LLS transmitted through a predefined IP address and UDP port, and SLS transmitted through MMTP or ROUTE protocol. Information for acquiring the SLS is provided through SLT, which is a type of LLS, and the SLS provides information on how the physical layer and the transport layer are transmitted in the SLT according to the transmission protocol of the broadcast service. An electronic device equipped with an ATSC 3.0 tuner acquires SLT and SLS from a broadcast signal, thereby securing signaling information of a broadcast service.
In the case of broadband, it receives SLT from the tuner, which is the ATSC 3.0 Physical Layer, and acquires URLs for SLS reception, and obtains URLs and MPDs for service component reception from DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) streaming. Allows viewing of broadcasts. The reason you cannot watch ATSC 3.0 broadband broadcasts on devices without an ATSC 3.0 tuner is that they cannot receive SLT. That is, if service information including SLT can be obtained, it means that even a device without an ATSC 3.0 tuner can view ATSC 3.0 broadband broadcasting. Accordingly, as shown in FIG. 4 , the

LLS 처리부는 UDP(user datagram protocol) 및 IP(internet protocol) 레이어를 통해 인캡슐레이션된 서비스정보를 방송신호로부터 추출할 수 있다.5 is a diagram illustrating an operation of an ATSC 3.0 receiver according to an embodiment of the present invention.
