Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for improving document security in an image forming apparatus. The method comprises the steps of copying or printing an original document in an apparatus capable of performing an encryption printing process; compressing an image read in a scan step; encrypting the compressed image; printing the encrypted content with a specific security code; scanning a document in which the encrypted content is printed with the specific security code; releasing a compression and the security code read through the scan step; and printing the security code and the released original document. The method prints the security code and the released original document and has a good point to make that a normal person is unable to understand content by printing the content as a code which is unable to be read with the naked eyes. Therefore, the content of the document is unable to be confirmed without decoding of the present invention when the document is exposed. So, the present invention has an effect to have the reinforced document security.

Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a document security method for an image forming apparatus,

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0002] The present invention relates to a technique for improving document security in an image forming apparatus, and more particularly, to a method for encrypting a corresponding output when a security document is printed and a method for decrypting the document.

Generally, the image forming apparatus includes functions such as copying, printing, faxing, or scanning of documents and box functions. Such a device having a complex function is called a multi function printer (MFP).

In other words, the multifunction apparatus has not only a function as a printer for printing data inputted from a host computer but also a function as a scanner for scanning an image document, a digital copy function for printing and copying an image document to be scanned and input, And a facsimile function for transmitting the document to a remote site.

That is, it is general that a multifunctional terminal integrating terminal devices existing as individual items such as an existing facsimile, a scanner, a printer, a digital copying machine, etc., has a host computer-interface function to be interlocked with a host computer. In many cases, a plurality of image forming apparatuses are connected.

A group or group (hereinafter referred to as a "company") gathered for any purpose, such as a company or a group, shall only disclose so-called confidentiality, confidential to a person who is not a member of the company, And in-house rain that can be edited. A document containing at least one of these two contents is collectively referred to as a security document.

Generally, in the case of a security document, when printing is performed on a printer in the company, it is recorded as to which document has been printed by the registered ID and IP in the server, and the document includes so-called water Marks are printed together. Most companies use only the above two methods for document security.

However, unless one member of the company is closely monitored, if the above method is used alone, the document is very vulnerable to being exported to the outside. Since leakage of confidential information directly affects the damage such as loss of company, a document security method which is stronger than the above method is more urgent.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and it is an object of the present invention to make it impossible for an ordinary person to identify a security document when printing a security document through an in-house printer.

As a means for achieving the above object, the present invention provides a method of encrypting an encrypted document, comprising the steps of printing or copying an original document to an apparatus capable of encryption output, compressing the image read out in the scanning step and encrypting the compressed image, A step of outputting to a specific security code

Scanning the document outputting the encrypted content with a specific security code, releasing the security code and the read security code through the scanning step, and outputting the security code and the decompressed original document.

The encryption encoding firmware is used for printing the secure document and the decoding firmware is used for converting the printed encrypted document into a general document.

The encoding firmware is a content for confirming whether or not an encryption operation is performed when a print command of a secure document is issued, that is, encrypting the contents of a document by the printer itself, and printing the encrypted code with a characteristic code (hereinafter referred to as QR code) do.

The decoding firmware is characterized in that the document is converted into a general document in order to check whether the document is encrypted or decrypted if the document is a content-encrypted document.

According to the present invention, when a security document is printed through a corresponding invention, it is advantageous in that a general person can not output the code as an unidentifiable code and grasp the contents. Therefore, even if one document is leaked, it is impossible to confirm the contents of the document without decoding according to the present invention, so that enhanced document security can be obtained.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings so that those skilled in the art can easily carry out the present invention. The present invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein. In order to clearly explain the present invention in the drawings, parts not related to the description are omitted, and similar parts are denoted by similar reference numerals throughout the specification.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

The present invention is characterized in that when printing a security document, the security of the document is further enhanced than the existing method.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 is an overall operational configuration diagram of a document security method according to the present invention.

When printing is performed by the multifunction apparatus 100 on which the present invention is mounted, a process of confirming whether or not the user should proceed to encrypt the document using a notification window or the like. When encryption is not performed, printing is performed by a general method. When encryption is performed, the entire document is recognized as one image. The recognized image is divided again into a plurality of successive images, and each of the images is converted into one code, and then the output 120 is generated.

And checking whether the user decrypts the document using a notification window or the like when scanning the encrypted output 120 with the multifunction apparatus 100 equipped with the present invention. In the case of not decrypting, it is scanned in the usual way, and in the case of decrypting, the code is decrypted simultaneously with the scanning of the image. And transmits the decrypted general document to the user's screen.

Through the above process, it is possible to output the same output pattern 130 as the original.

FIG. 2 is a flowchart of a document security encryption operation according to the present invention.

According to FIG. 2, printing or copying (S210) an original document to a device capable of encryption output (S210), compressing the image read in the scanning step and encrypting the compressed image (S220) And outputting a code (S230).

FIG. 3 is a flowchart of a document security decryption operation according to the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 3, a step S310 of scanning a document outputting the encrypted content with a specific security code, a step S320 of decompressing the security code and the read security code through the scanning step, And outputting the original document (S330).

While the present invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments, but, on the contrary, It will be understood that the invention may be practiced otherwise than as specifically described herein. Therefore, modifications of the embodiments of the present invention will not depart from the scope of the present invention.
