Description

Smart earplug

The present invention relates to a smart earplug, and more particularly, to a smart earplug capable of minimizing external noise to communicate with others while protecting hearing.

Generally, sponge-type earplugs are widely used for hearing protection in industrial noisy environments. This type of earplug shields external noise and protects the hearing from external noise.

Conventional techniques for ear plugs having such an action are disclosed in Patent Document 1, Korean Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 10-2009-0126336 (published on December 9, 2009) and Patent Document 2, Korean Utility Model Registration No. 20- 0370929 (published on December 20, 2004).

Patent Document 1 discloses an ear-wear type ear-rest with an elastic wearing band that is wound in a spiral shape in one or more turns in the non-wearing state and an ear-piece portion attached to both ends of the elastic wearing band. With this configuration, the elastic wearing band is rolled into a spiral shape over one revolution in the non-wearing state, whereby the volume is significantly reduced, and the rolled portion becomes a ring shape, so that it can be worn on the wrist or can be worn on the wrist. .

Patent Document 2 discloses a structure of a metal wire frame having excellent restoring force with an ear lid, so that the wearer's ears can be adequately pressed so that the ear can be warmed without causing pain even when worn for a long time.

[Patent Document 1] Korean Published Patent Application No. 10-2009-0126336 (published on December 9, 2009) Patent Document 2: Utility Model Registration No. 20-0370929 registered in the Republic of Korea (Notice of December 20, 2004)

However, although the above-mentioned conventional techniques can protect the auditory sense from outside noise by external noise shielding, the voice of the other person is also shielded, and communication with other people, which is essential for the business, is impossible.

An object of the present invention is to provide a smart earplug capable of minimizing external noises and thus capable of communicating with others while protecting the hearing ability.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a smart ear plug which can separate a sound signal into a noise signal and a noise signal when the sound is input and adjust the dangerous situation to a level as large as possible, .

It is still another object of the present invention to provide a smart earplug capable of individually adjusting the size of a voice signal and a noise signal included in a sound.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a smart earplug comprising: a microphone for receiving an external sound and converting the external sound into an electrical signal; A signal separator for separating a sound signal output from the microphone into a voice signal and a noise signal; A signal amplifying unit for independently amplifying and outputting the voice signal and the noise signal separated by the signal separating unit; And an in earphone for combining the voice signal and the noise signal output from the signal amplifying unit and outputting the combined signal.

The smart earplug according to the present invention may further include a power supply unit for supplying power to the microphones, the signal amplifying unit, and the in earphone.

The power supply unit may include a battery.

Further, the smart earplug according to the present invention may further include a volume adjusting unit for adjusting a volume level of a signal amplified by the signal amplifying unit.

The signal separating unit may include a first filter for extracting only a voice signal of a voice band from the input sound signal; And a second filter for extracting only the noise signals of the remaining bands excluding the voice band in the sound signal.

Wherein the signal amplifying unit comprises: a voice amplifier for amplifying only the voice signal separated by the signal separating unit to a predetermined level; And a noise amplifier for amplifying only the noise signal separated by the signal separator to a predetermined level.

The signal amplifying unit amplifies the sound signal by amplifying the sound signal and amplifying the noise signal by lowering the amplification degree of the sound signal.

According to the present invention, external noise can be minimized, so that it is possible to communicate with others while protecting hearing.

According to the present invention, there is also an advantage that the size of a voice signal and a noise signal included in a sound can be individually adjusted according to a user's operation.

Figure 2 is a block diagram of a smart earplug according to the present invention;
FIG. 3 is a block diagram of an embodiment of the signal separator of FIG. 2,
4 is a block diagram of an embodiment of the signal amplification unit of FIG.

Hereinafter, a smart earplug according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

1 is a schematic perspective view of a smart earplug 100 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

The smart earplug 100 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention is in the form of a pair of ear-type hearing aids and is made compact. That is, two smart earplugs 100 shown in FIG. 1 are formed as a pair and inserted into the left ear and the right ear, respectively.

2 is a block diagram illustrating internal components of the smart earplug 100 and includes a power supply unit 110, a microphone 120, a signal separation unit 130, a signal amplification unit 140, a volume control unit 150 and an in earphone 160.

The power supply unit 110 provides a driving power to the microphones 120, the signal amplifying unit 140, and the earphone 160. In addition to these components, it is preferable to supply driving power to parts requiring power. The power supply unit 110 may be implemented as a battery that can be embedded therein.

The microphone 120 receives an external sound and converts it into an electrical signal.

The signal separator 130 separates the sound signal output from the microphone 120 into a voice signal and a noise signal. As shown in FIG. 3, the signal separator 130 includes a first filter 131 for extracting only a voice signal of a voice band from the input voice signal, And a second filter 132 for extracting only the noise signals of the remaining bands excluding the voice band in the sound signal. Here, the first filter 131 and the second filter 132 may be implemented as a band-pass filter. By separately using the filters for filtering different bands, it is possible to extract the voice band signal and the noise band signal included in the sound.

The volume controller 150 controls the volume level of the signal amplified by the signal amplifier 140 and may be implemented as a slide volume. In order to individually adjust the volume of the voice signal and the noise signal, it is preferable to implement two slide volumes. The volume control unit 150 may be formed in a protruding form on the outside of the smart ear cap 100.

The signal amplifying unit 140 independently amplifies and outputs the separated voice signal and the noise signal. As shown in FIG. 4, the signal amplifying unit 140 includes a voice amplifier 141 for amplifying only the voice signal separated by the signal separating unit 130 to a predetermined level; And a noise amplifier 142 for amplifying only the noise signal separated by the signal separator 130 to a predetermined level. Here, it is preferable that the signal amplifying unit 140 amplify the audio signal and amplify the noise signal by lowering the amplification degree of the audio signal.

In earphone 160 combines a voice signal and a noise signal output from the signal amplifying unit 140 and outputs the combined signal.

Hereinafter, the operation of the smart ear plug according to the present invention will be described in detail.

First, a worker working in a noisy environment wears a smart earplug 100 shown in FIG. 1 on the left ear and the right ear, respectively. At this time, a part of the internal components of the smart ear cap 100 that requires power is turned on by the power supply unit 110 to be in a state of being able to perform its original function.

Thereafter, when sound is input, the microphone 120 converts the incoming sound into an electrical signal and transmits the electrical signal to the signal separator 130. At this time, the waveform shown at the front end of the microphone 120 of FIG. 2 is a waveform when a sound signal is mixed with a sound signal. As shown in the figure, when the voice signal and the noise signal are mixed, the frequency waveform of the noise signal is higher than that of the voice signal in the frequency form.

As shown in FIG. 3, the signal separator 130 performs a filtering process of passing only the voice signal corresponding to the voice band from the electrical sound signal input from the first filter 131, and blocking the signals of the remaining bands Only the voice signal is extracted. In addition, only the noise signal is extracted through the filtering process of passing only the noise signals of the remaining bands excluding the voice band from the electrical sound signal inputted from the second filter 132.

The voice signal and the noise signal thus extracted are transmitted to the signal amplifying unit 140, and the signal amplifying unit 140 amplifies the voice signal and the noise signal through the configuration as shown in FIG. For example, the audio amplifier 141 of the signal amplification unit 140 amplifies the input audio signal by setting the amplification degree corresponding to the volume adjustment level set by the volume adjustment unit 150. [ Here, the volume adjustment level may be set by the user to adjust the slide volume included in the volume adjustment unit 150. [ The volume level can be adjusted by adjusting the slide volume as required. In addition, the noise amplifier 142 of the signal amplification unit 140 amplifies the input noise signal by setting the amplification degree corresponding to the volume adjustment level set by the volume adjustment unit 150. Here, the volume adjustment level may be set by the user to adjust the slide volume included in the volume adjustment unit 150. [ The volume level can be adjusted by adjusting the slide volume as required. At this time, it is preferable that the volume level for noise amplification is lower than the volume level for the voice amplification, and it is more preferable to amplify the noise level to a signal of a level that can detect a dangerous situation without causing damage to the auditory sense.

That is, the present invention does not amplify only the voice signal included in the sound, but also amplifies the noise signal within a range in which no audible damage occurs. Here, the voice signal is for communicating with another person, and the noise signal is for a dangerous situation. If only the voice signal is used and the noise signal is removed through filtering, the sound other than the voice signal is shielded, making it impossible to recognize the dangerous situation. As a result, noise from other devices can not be heard and can be dangerous due to danger of danger. In order to solve this shortcoming, in the present invention, the voice signal is amplified to a level that allows communication with other persons, and the noise signal is amplified to a level that can recognize a dangerous situation.

The amplified voice signal and the noise signal are transmitted to the earphone 160 and the two signals are combined in the earphone 160 and transmitted to the user's ear. In FIG. 2, the waveform shown at the rear end of the earphone 160 is a frequency level of a sound signal transmitted to the user's ear. It can be seen that the sound signal is amplified and the noise signal is relatively reduced, unlike the sound signal flowing into the microphone 120.

Although the present invention has been described in detail with reference to the above embodiments, it is needless to say that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

The present invention is applied to a noise treatment technique for use in an industrial field. Particularly, it is effectively applied to a technique for adjusting a signal level so that a worker wears it in a noisy industrial field, can communicate with others, and is only in a dangerous situation with respect to noise.
