Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a terminal and a control method thereof, and more particularly, to a terminal and a method for providing and controlling a multi-window environment.
A terminal can be divided into a mobile terminal (mobile / portable terminal) and a stationary terminal according to whether the terminal can be moved. The mobile terminal can be divided into a handheld terminal and a vehicle mount terminal according to whether the user can directly carry the mobile terminal.
Such a terminal has various functions, for example, in the form of a multimedia device having multiple functions such as photographing and photographing of a moving picture, reproduction of a music or video file, reception of a game and broadcasting, etc. .
Generally, in a terminal, a display module displays information processed in a terminal. For example, when the terminal is in the call mode, a UI (User Interface) or a GUI (Graphic User Interface) associated with the call is displayed. When the terminal is in the video communication mode or the photographing mode, the captured or received video or UI is displayed. At this time, there is a limitation in providing multi-processing and various screens according to the limited display area of the terminal.
Also, in the case of an image or a UI using only a part of the display unit, power consumption and data processing speed may be deteriorated due to use of the entire display area.
An object of the present invention is to provide a terminal and a control method thereof for implementing a multi-window in a terminal.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a terminal and a control method thereof that can provide a user interface according to a multi-window implementation and thereby increase user convenience.
A terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a first display unit provided on a front surface of a terminal; A second display part extending in one direction of the first display part and the terminal; And a controller for controlling the first display unit and the second display unit respectively and controlling the first display unit or the second display unit to be activated according to the operation mode of the terminal.
Various embodiments of the present invention allow a user to easily control a window even in an environment where there is no external input device such as a keyboard or a mouse.
In addition, the terminal and the control method thereof according to the embodiment of the present invention have the effect of enabling a user to easily recognize and use various information screens and UI in a multi-window environment.
