Description

Vehicle multimedia apparatus and capable of separately outputting sounds of sound sources and method

The present invention relates to an in-vehicle multimedia device, and more particularly, to an in-vehicle multimedia device capable of outputting sound provided from a plurality of sound sources.

Regarding the sound output technology of the vehicle, the sound output control device and method in the rear seat entertainment (RSE) system is well known through the Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2007-0091942. According to this, when the head unit and the RSE system output sound simultaneously, the head unit sound is output only to the front left speaker, the right front speaker and the center speaker, and the sound of the RSE system is output to the passenger's headset in the rear seat of the vehicle. do. That is, when the head unit and the RSE system generate sound, respectively, the sound of the head unit is not output to the left rear speaker, the right rear speaker, and the subwoofer, so that it is not mixed with the headset output sound of the RSE system. will be.

According to this, the vehicle driver and the rear seat occupant may enjoy different sounds. However, this requires the RSE system to be implemented in the vehicle. However, except for expensive vehicles, the RSE system is generally not implemented in the vehicle. Therefore, passengers in vehicles that do not have an RSE system can only enjoy the same sound. In addition, in order to enjoy different sounds according to the above-described technology, occupants must be divided into the front and rear seats of the vehicle, respectively. However, in general, when two people ride, one rides in the driver's seat and the other rides in the front passenger's seat, and thus cannot enjoy different sounds as described above.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a multimedia device and method capable of providing different sounds to vehicle occupants.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a vehicle multimedia apparatus capable of separating and outputting sound for each sound source, including a short range communication unit communicating within a limited distance, a storage unit storing output priority information for each sound source, and Outputs sound provided from the plurality of sound sources, and outputs sound provided for each sound source to a vehicle speaker according to output priority information stored in the storage unit, or is searched within the limited distance through the short range communication unit; And a control unit for outputting to a communication device.

The controller sets output priority information for each of the plurality of sound sources according to a user input through a user interface and stores the output priority information in the storage unit.

The controller outputs sound to the searched local area communication device only when the searched local area communication device is a device registered for sound output.

On the other hand, according to an aspect of the present invention for achieving the above-described technical problem, the sound separation output method for each sound source of a multimedia device for a vehicle comprises the steps of checking the output priority information for each of a plurality of sound sources stored in the storage unit, and the confirmation Outputting the sound provided from the sound source to the vehicle speaker according to the output priority information, or to the short range communication device searched within a limited distance.

The multimedia device, which is a vehicle head unit according to the present invention, may provide different sounds to vehicle occupants by separately outputting sounds provided from different sound sources. For example, if the driver wants to listen to the radio and the passenger wants to listen to the CD player music, the multimedia device can output the radio sound to the car speaker and the CD player sound to the passenger's Bluetooth headset. have. As described above, the multimedia apparatus according to the present invention may provide vehicle passengers with differently desired sounds, thereby increasing passenger satisfaction.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The foregoing and further aspects of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail to enable those skilled in the art to easily understand and reproduce the present invention.

1 is a block diagram of a vehicle multimedia device capable of separating and outputting sound for each sound source according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

The input unit 100 may be a button for a user input, a jog dial, or the like. The display unit 200 may be a liquid crystal display and a touch panel for user input may be applied. The storage unit 300 includes one or more memories. The storage unit 300 stores output priority information for each sound source. Here, the multiple sound sources refer to radio, DMB, CD player, USB, AUX, and so on. These sound sources may be configured in a multimedia device, or may be connected to the multimedia device by a cable or the like. The output priority information for each sound source means information on whether sound provided from the sound source should be output to the vehicle speaker 400 or output to the local area communication unit 500 for transmission to the local area communication device. do. The short range communication unit 500 communicates with a short range communication device within a limited distance, for example, 3m, and may be a Bluetooth module.

The controller 600 is a control unit that controls overall operations of the multimedia apparatus. The controller 600 outputs the sound provided from the sound sources to the vehicle speaker 400 or to the short range communication unit 500 according to the sound source priority information stored in the storage 300. An example of priority information for each sound source stored in the storage 300 is shown in Table 1 below.

Sound source Output priority radio 1. vehicle speaker 2. X DMB 1. vehicle speaker 2. X CDP 1. Bluetooth device 2. vehicle speaker USB 1. vehicle speaker 2. X AUX 1. vehicle speaker 2. X

As illustrated in Table 1, the sound provided from the radio, the DMB, the USB, and the AUX is output to the vehicle speaker 400. The sound provided from the CDP is output to the short range communication unit 500 when the Bluetooth device is connected to the multimedia device, and is output to the vehicle speaker. When the output directions of the sounds provided from the sound sources are different from each other, the controller 600 may simultaneously output the respective sounds. For example, the controller 600 may output the sound provided from the radio to the vehicle speaker 400 and transmit the sound provided from the CDP to the Bluetooth device through the short range communication unit 500. Therefore, when the driver and the passenger ride in the vehicle, it is possible to enjoy different sounds for each passenger.

In one embodiment, the controller 600 outputs the sound provided from the CDP to the local area communication unit 500 only when the Bluetooth device searched through the local area communication unit 500 is a Bluetooth device configured for sound output. In this case, the unique identifier information for the Bluetooth device set for sound output is stored in the storage unit 300. Accordingly, the controller 600 may determine whether the found Bluetooth device is a Bluetooth device configured for sound output by comparing the unique identifier of the Bluetooth device searched through the local area communication unit 500 with the unique identifier stored in the storage unit 300.

On the other hand, the user can directly set the output priority for each sound source. To this end, the controller 600 provides a sound setting screen through a screen interface. An example of the sound setting screen is shown in FIG. 2. The user may select a priority of the sound output for each of the radio, DMB, CDP, USB, and AUX from the vehicle speaker and the Bluetooth device through the sound setting screen as shown in FIG. 2. In the example shown in Fig. 2, it is indicated that the symbol? Is selected as the sound output priority. That is, the user has set the radio, DMB, USB and AUX sound output priorities to the vehicle speaker, and the CDP sound output priority to the Bluetooth device. When the output priority for each sound source is set as described above, the controller 600 stores the output priority information for each sound source in the storage 300.

The user can also set up a Bluetooth device for sound output. To this end, the controller 600 may provide a Bluetooth device setting screen for sound output through the screen interface. In this case, the Bluetooth device which may be set for sound output on the sound output Bluetooth device setting screen may be a Bluetooth device searched through the local area communication unit 500. That is, the user can set the sound output for the multimedia device and the Bluetooth connected Bluetooth device. In this way, the user can set his Bluetooth headset for sound output. When the Bluetooth device for sound output is set by the user, the controller 600 stores the unique identifier information of the set Bluetooth device in the storage 300.

3 is a flowchart illustrating a sound separation output method for each sound source according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

When the sound is provided from the sound source, the control unit 600 searches the storage unit 300 and checks whether the output priority of the sound source providing the sound is set as the Bluetooth device (S100) (S200). If the output priority is not set to the Bluetooth device, the controller 600 outputs sound to the vehicle speaker 400 (S300). If the output priority is set to the Bluetooth device, the controller 600 checks whether the Bluetooth device is connected to the multimedia device in operation S400. If the Bluetooth device is connected to the communication, the control unit 600 outputs a sound to the Bluetooth device through the short-range communication unit 500 (S500). In one embodiment, the controller 600 outputs sound to the Bluetooth device through the short-range communication unit 500 only when the Bluetooth device connected to the multimedia device is a Bluetooth device configured for sound output.

According to this, since one multimedia device may output sound in different directions, it is possible to simultaneously output sound provided from two sound sources. That is, if CDP is executed while the radio sound is output to the vehicle speaker 400, the CDP sound may be output to the Bluetooth device. This allows the driver to enjoy radio sound through the car speakers and the passenger to enjoy CDP sound through their Bluetooth headset.
