Description
The present invention relates to a loss prevention system and method using a portable terminal and Bluetooth devices connecting it to a Bluetooth communication system, and more particularly, to a loss prevention system and method using a headset Bluetooth profile in a portable terminal.
Due to the rapid development of technology and the increasing demand of users, the portable terminal is not only required for the telephone function but also for the formation of a communication network that transmits and receives information between other peripheral devices. Various short-range communication systems have been developed for this purpose, and in particular, the Bluetooth communication system is widely used for voice communication between the mobile terminal and the wireless headset and data communication between the mobile terminal and the computer by providing a high quality short-range wireless communication. The Bluetooth profile specification defines several profiles, including the headset profile, LAN access profile, intercom profile, dial-up networking profile, and so on.
According to the Bluetooth profile standard, each Bluetooth device may use at least one or more of a plurality of profiles in duplicate, but may not use the same profile in duplicate. That is, the headset profile and the LAN access profile can be used simultaneously in the portable terminal, but two headset profiles cannot be used simultaneously.
