Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a font copyright management system, and more particularly, to prevent illegal dissemination that causes copyright infringement of fonts contained in electronic works stored and distributed in a mobile storage medium, and to properly authorize the copyright of the font. The present invention relates to a font copyright management system capable of efficiently protecting font copyrights by integrating font copyright so that only an operator can distribute electronic works.
Since a font is a work derived from the creator's creation of the font, in order to use the font or to distribute a work in which the font is used, the user must obtain a proper license to the copyright holder of the font.
In general, in the offline printing market, copyright infringement of fonts is decreasing by purchasing copyrights of fonts and installing and using them in devices.
However, in the case of online electronic works that are stored on portable storage media (CD, USB, etc.) and distributed in large quantities, copyright infringement on the fonts is easy, and fonts distributed due to infringement are easily shared in the Internet environment. Since it can spread rapidly, it is very urgent to introduce protection means for copyright protection of fonts online.
Conventionally, there is a method of authenticating a right to install a purchased font on a computer to protect the copyright of the font, but it is limited to the purchase of the font itself, thereby preventing copyright infringement when the font is used for online electronic works. Because it is not a means to do so, the possibility of serious infringement of typeface copyright through online electronic works is very high.
As an object of the present invention is to solve the above problems, an object of the present invention is to prevent illegal dissemination that causes copyright infringement of fonts contained in online electronic works that are stored and distributed in a mobile storage medium, and the copyright of the font is justified. It is to provide a font copyright management system that can effectively protect the copyright of the font by integrating the font copyright so that only authorized operators can distribute electronic works.
In order to achieve the above object, a typeface copyright management system according to the present invention stores and manages copyright information of a font and information on a licensed business operator, and checks whether or not a copyright exists for a font to a company that wants to use copyright for the font. Calculates the copyright fee for the distribution quantity requested by the operator when the copyright request of the font is requested by the process management unit and the process management unit which provides an interface for granting the copyright use of the font if a copyright exists. It characterized in that it comprises a copyright certification unit for issuing a certificate upon completion of the deposit for the copyright fee.
The process management unit permits access to a database for storing font information, copyright information of fonts, information on licensed companies, information on a range of permitted copyrights for the providers, and a company that wants to use copyrights for fonts. And an interface module for providing information on whether a copyright exists for the font at the request of the operator, and providing an interface for allowing the operator to use copyright of the font if the copyright exists.
In addition, the copyright certification unit, if there is a request for the use of copyright of the typeface, a royalty calculation module for calculating a royalty fee for the copyright range requested by the operator, a billing module for performing a payment process for the calculated royalty fee, and the payment process is performed. If it is completed, issuing a certificate, characterized in that it comprises a certificate issuance module to provide to the operator.
The interface module compares copyright information of a font stored in the database according to a request of the operator, and checks whether a copyright exists and outputs a copyright infringement warning if a copyright exists.
In addition, the interface module receives the business information of the electronic work when the typeface is used in the electronic works in circulation, and compares the business information stored in the database to determine whether the copyright holder is a party business licensed to use the copyright. Characterized in that the check.
The copyright certification unit further includes a copyright violation monitoring module that receives the quantity sold of the electronic work including the font from the online electronic work selling server and adds the predetermined number of units in a predetermined period to determine whether the copyright range has been exceeded. It features.
On the other hand, the font copyright management method according to the present invention comprises the steps of (a) the operator to check whether the copyright for the specific font and the license of the operator through the process management unit and (b) the license for the copyright does not exist If not, characterized in that it comprises the step of setting the use rights for the copyright use range desired by the operator and (c) issuing a copyright certificate after setting the use rights.
Here, the step (b) is the step of calculating the usage fee for the usage range, the step of calculating the usage fee for the usage range, and the charging module to set up the usage right by the billing module It is characterized by including.
In the calculating of the royalties, when the operator inputs the usage range in units of sales quantity, the royalties are calculated by multiplying the royalties set by the sales quantity of the desired electronic work, or the operator inputs the usage range in units of period (D1). In one case, the royalties set in a specific period unit (D2) are calculated based on a period ratio (D1 / D2 × flat royalty) input by the operator.
In addition, when the font is used in an electronic work in circulation by the copyright holder of the font, the interface module receives business information of the electronic work and compares the business information stored in the database to determine whether or not it is a party business licensed for copyright use. It further comprises the step of identifying.
And monitoring, by the copyright infringement monitoring module, whether or not the copyright violation has been exceeded by receiving the sales quantity information of the electronic work including the font from the online electronic work sales server and adding the information on a predetermined period and exceeding the allowed copyright range. It characterized in that it further comprises.
As described above, the typeface copyright management system and method according to the present invention can not only manage font copyrights integrally but also monitor copyright infringement, so that electronic works are illegally distributed and copyright infringement of fonts occurs. Excellent effect can be prevented in advance.
Hereinafter, specific embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

Hereinafter, a font copyright management method using a font copyright management system configured as described above will be described.
2 is a flowchart schematically showing a typeface copyright management method according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 2, an electronic work provider first accesses a font copyright management server to confirm font copyright information, and requests confirmation of whether a desired font copyright exists.
The interface module of the process manager compares the requested font with font information stored in the database to determine whether a copyright exists for the requested font.
If there is a copyright for the typeface, the operator receives information on whether the operator is a legitimate operator who has been given permission to use the typeface copyright. Here, the operator information may include a company name of the company, the title of the electronic work.
If the operator does not have a right to use a typeface copyright, the interface module requests the operator to determine whether to purchase a license.
If the user chooses not to purchase, the interface module outputs a warning message indicating that copyright of the font exists and thus infringes copyright in illegal use.
When the user purchases a license, the interface module provides an interface for purchasing a copyright right, and receives the use information of purchase information and font copyright from the operator. Here, the purchase information may include a company name, electronic work information, storage medium information to be used.
The use range of the typeface copyright may be determined according to the sales quantity of the electronic work to be distributed, the use range may be determined by period, or the use range may be determined by mixing them.
For example, if you have 1000 usage ranges, you can only sell up to 1000 electronic assets with typeface copyrights. If you have a range of 1 year usage, your business can only contain font copyrights for up to one year, regardless of the quantity sold. Sell electronic works.
In addition, the scope of use of the typeface copyright may be set in various ways according to the agreement of the copyright holder and the business operator.
When the user receives the input range of the font copyright from the operator, the royalty calculation module of the copyright certification unit calculates the fee for using the font copyright.
More specifically, the royalty calculation module may calculate the royalty by multiplying the royalty by the quantity sold if the usage range is determined according to the quantity sold of the electronic work. For example, if you sell 1,000 electronic works with a selling price of 10,000 won per unit, if the royalty is 3% of the selling price, it is calculated as a royalty fee of 300,000 won (= 1000 × 10,000 won × 0.03).
In addition, when the usage range is determined in units of periods, the fee may be calculated according to the royalties set per period. For example, if the one-year fee is 10 million won, if the operator wants to use it for six months, the copyright fee is five million won.
When the typeface royalty is calculated as described above, the charging module performs the charging process for the royalty.
Here, the charging module may be included in the copyright authentication unit, but the charging may be performed in conjunction with an external charging server.
The billing may be a conventional payment method such as credit card payment, mobile phone payment, real-time account transfer.
When the billing is completed as described above, the certificate issuance module of the copyright certification unit issues a certificate for the use of copyright and provides it to the operator.
Here, the certificate may be sent in the e-mail of the operator and may be issued in a form that can be output in real time.
If the operator stops payment processing during the billing process, the interface module may further include a step of outputting a warning message indicating that civil and criminal liability are caused by copyright infringement if the interface module is used without permission.
When the certificate is issued as described above, it is mapped to the certificate identification code and stored in the database to manage the copyright permission information for the operator.
In addition, when a copyright holder of a font finds an electronic work using the font, if the business information of the electronic work is input through an interface module to confirm copyright infringement, the operator analyzes the information stored in the database and the font is legally typed. It may be determined whether the business owner has permission to use the copyright, and the copyright holder of the font may be provided to the copyright holder of the typeface.
Therefore, the copyright holder of the typeface can confirm whether or not the copyright infringement of the electronic work in circulation by simple input and confirmation.
In addition, when the use range is determined according to the sales quantity of the electronic work, it is possible to check whether the sales quantity of the operator is within the use range by interworking with the online electronic work sales server.
More specifically, the copyright infringement monitoring module of the copyright certification unit provides business information licensed for use of copyright to a sales server selling the online electronic work, and periodically provides sales quantity information of the electronic work sold by the business service from the sales server. It is determined whether or not the cumulative sales quantity exceeds the allowed sales quantity.
Judgment shows that the copyright infringement monitoring module is close to the allowed sales quantity, but does not exceed the allowed sales quantity if it is close to the allowed sales quantity (for example, 95% of the allowed sales quantity is sold). If the renewal is necessary and the sales volume is exceeded without the renewal, a message of copyright infringement may be transmitted to the operator's mobile communication terminal.
In addition, when the sales quantity is exceeded, a message notifying that the copyright has been infringed may be transmitted to the mobile communication terminal of the service provider.
While the present invention has been described in connection with what is presently considered to be practical exemplary embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments, but, on the contrary, It will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
