Abstract

A call speech-text conversion apparatus for hearing-impaired persons is provided to reduce the inconvenience of hearing disabled persons by applying speech recognition for the contents of telephone conversation and displaying voice signals as texts. A call speech-text conversion apparatus for hearing-impaired persons comprises a microphone, an ASR(Auto Speech Recognition) engine or a DSP(Digital Signal Processor) chip, a controller, and a converter. The microphone converts a voice signal into an electrical signal. The ASR engine or the DSP chip recognizes the electrical signal, outputted from the microphone, as a voice and outputs recognition data. The controller transmits a scan code equivalent to the recognition data to a mobile phone. When the call speech-text conversion apparatus is connected to the mobile phone, the converter intercepts electrical signals from the microphone.

The present invention is a mobile phone peripheral device for the deaf using a voice conversion method. That is, the present invention relates to a voice recognition function, and in particular, a voice call texting device for a hearing impaired person who attempts to solve the inconvenience of the hearing impaired by texting a voice by recognizing a phone call. Rather than developing a mobile phone that adds functions for the hearing impaired, the company designed a device that can be attached to or detached from a mobile phone using a USB port so that it can be easily used on any mobile phone.

As a technical means for achieving the above object of the present invention, the apparatus of the present invention, the voice recognition device, an opening for converting the voice into an electrical signal; A speech recognition engine ASR (Auto Speech Recognition) engine or a DSP (Digital Signal Processing) chip for recognizing a corresponding voice according to an electric signal from an opening port and outputting corresponding recognition data; A control unit which transmits a scan code corresponding to the recognition data from the voice recognition engine to the mobile phone main body; A converter that blocks the electrical signal of the opening when connected to the mobile phone; A device for converting voice into an electrical signal; Characterized by having a, and displays the text through the dictation (Dictation).

Dictation technology is a technology that automatically converts human-pronounced voice signals into predefined symbols or letters, such as letters and sentences. This technology allows computers to type in the way people speak and correct grammatical errors.

Dictation technology is largely divided into reading technology and conversational technology. Currently, the technology level of the global voice industry is that of reading dictation, and it is expected to realize conversation dictation technology in the near future. In the case of reading dictation, the dictation function of up to 600 strokes per minute can be solved without the help of keyboard or mouse, and the interactive dictation technology is expected to be widely applied throughout the entire industry.

The configuration for changing the voice signal coming into the mobile phone through the invention device (speech text conversion device) during the phone call through the mobile phone is this.

(a) The voice signal, once sent to the mobile phone, is transferred to (b) the USB character cable via (c) the voice character converter, and the voice signal data is converted into characters. (c) The voice data inputted to the voice character conversion apparatus is subjected to (c1) ASR (voice recognition) process, (c2) voice features are analyzed, and (c3) feature parameters are extracted. Thereafter, the voice recognized by the software analyzing the pattern of the voice (c4) is formed into an acoustic model (c5) consisting of phonemes and words.

After this process (c7) language processing by (c6) dictation technology, the signal is displayed on the (d) LCD window via (c8) Voice web system or embedded solution.
