Abstract

A slim-dome EL(electro-luminescent) keypad is provided to improve the reliability by using an external terminal for emission of the EL sheet. A slim-dome EL keypad includes a dome sheet(2), an EL sheet(1), and a PCB(printed circuit board)(3). A slim dome is thinner than a metal dome. The slim dome is coupled with the dome sheet. An external terminal(4) is arranged at an upper portion of the EL sheet. Signal-coupling materials are coupled with the PCB. A thickness of the metal dome is 0.25 mm and a clicking feeling of the metal dome is 175gf. A height of a bump included in a key-top is reduced without increasing an erroneous operation rate of the keypad.
