Abstract

본 발명은 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 공유하는 장치 및 방법에 관한 발명으로서 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 장치는 전원을 공급하는 제 1 배터리, 교류입력 전압을 받아 직류전압으로 변환하여 출력하는 정류기, 직류입력 전압을 받아 교류전압으로 변환하여 출력하는 인버터, 상기 정류기와 인버터 중 하나와 연결하여 상기 제 1 배터리를 충전시키기거나 또는 상기 제 1 배터리의 전원으로 외부 디바이스에 포함된 제 2 배터리를 충전시키기 위해 전원을 제공하는 전원제어변환부, 및 상기 외부 디바이스와 통신을 수행하는 근거리 통신부를 포함한다.

본 발명은 접촉없이 전원을 충전하는 방식에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 공유하는 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다.
휴대용 장치 또는 이동형 장치(portable device)가 동작하기 위해서는 전원이 지속적으로 공급되어야 한다. 전원을 지속적으로 공급하기 위해서는 배터리가 장착되어야 하는데, 이 배터리는 1회적으로 방전을 수행하고 폐기되는 1회용 배터리와 방전과 충전을 통해 오랜 기간 사용할 수 있는 충전용 배터리가 있다.
충전용 배터리는 일정 기간 방전을 하면 다시 충전을 해야한다. 충전을 하기 위해서 교류 전원을 직류 전원으로 바꾸는 과정이 필요하며, 이 과정은 통상 충전기(Charger)를 통해 이루어진다. 충전기는 컨센트와 결합되어 고정되거나 반고정의 상태로 존재하는 경우가 흔하다. 또한 충전기와 충전용 배터리가 소정의 단자를 통해 충전이 되는 방식이 종래 일반적이었다.
그러나, 이러한 방식은 배터리의 충전 단자가 노쇠하게 되어 충전 성능을 떨어뜨릴 수 있으며, 유선으로 배터리와 충전기를 결합할 경우, 이동형 장치의 이동성에 한계를 가져올 수 있다. 따라서 접촉 없이 또는 무선으로 충전을 하기위한 연구가 진행되어 왔다.
도 1은 종래의 비접촉 충전 방식을 보여주는 도면이다. 영국 특허(GB2398176)에서는 도 1과 같이 충전 패드(Charging pad)(10)를 두고, 이 패드에 디바이스(20)를 두면 전선이나 단자의 접촉 없이 충전을 수행할 수 있는 방법을 제시하고 있다. 충전 패드 어디에든 충전할 디바이스를 두면 유도 방식을 통해 전원이 충전되어 사용할 수 있다.
도 1의 방법은 충전기는 고정되어 있되 단자의 접촉없이 유도 방식으로 충전을 수행한다. 그런데, 충전 패드가 AC 전원에 연결된 상태로 고정되어 있기 때문에 어디서든지 충전을 수행할 수 없다는 단점이 있다. 즉, 충전이 필요한 모바일 디바이스의 이동성에 한계를 가질 수 있다.
한편 미국 특허(US06653813B1)에서는 PCMCIA 카드를 통해 DC 전원을 공유하지만 이는 디바이스와 카드간의 접촉이 필요하다는 점에서 불편을 초래한다.
모바일 디바이스의 휴대성을 극대화하기 위해 비접촉의 충전 방식이 필요하다. 또한 모바일 디바이스 간에 보유한 전원을 공유하여 충전하는 방식이 필요하다.
본 발명은 상기한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 안출된 것으로, 본 발명은 접촉이 나 전선 없이 유도 방식을 통해 충전을 수행하는 것이다.
특히, 이동/휴대형 장치간에 공통된 인터페이스를 제공하여 전선이나 접촉 없이 전원을 공유하여 충전을 수행하는데 목적이 있다. 그리고 상기의 접촉없는 충전을 위해 디바이스가 다른 디바이스를 감지하여 충전 또는 방전을 수행할 수 있도록 하는데 목적이 있다.
또한 모바일 디바이스의 생산자에 따라 다양해진 모바일 디바이스의 크기, 타입에 구애되지 않는 배터리 충전 방식을 제공하며, 하나의 디바이스에서 다수의 모바일 디바이스가 충전을 수행할 수도 있도록 하는데 목적이 있다.
본 발명의 목적들은 이상에서 언급한 목적들로 제한되지 않으며, 언급되지 않은 또 다른 목적들은 아래의 기재로부터 당업자에게 명확하게 이해될 수 있을 것이다.
본 발명은 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 공유하는 장치 및 방법에 관한 발명으로서 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 장치는 전원을 공급하는 제 1 배터리, 교류입력 전압을 받아 직류전압으로 변환하여 출력하는 정류기, 직류입력 전압을 받아 교류전압으로 변환하여 출력하는 인버터, 상기 정류기와 인버터 중 하나와 연결하여 상기 제 1 배터리를 충전시키기거나 또는 상기 제 1 배터리의 전원으로 외부 디바이스에 존재하는 제 2 배터리를 충전시키기 위해 전원을 제공하는 전원제어변환부, 및 상기 외부 디바이스와 통신을 수행하는 근거리 통신부를 포함한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 로드하는 방 법은 근거리 통신부를 통해 소스 모드로 동작이 가능한 디바이스를 감지하는 단계, 상기 감지된 제 1 디바이스에 소스 모드로 동작할 것을 요청하는 단계, 정류기와 배터리를 연결하고, 상기 정류기와 전원제어변환부와 연결하여 외부로부터 에너지를 수신할 수 있는 로드 모드로 변환하는 단계, 상기 전원제어변환부에 결합된 유도 코일을 제 2 권선으로 설정하는 단계, 및 상기 제 1 디바이스의 제 1 권선으로 설정된 유도 코일로부터 에너지를 수신하는 단계를 포함한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 전송하는 방법은 근거리 통신부를 통해 제 1 디바이스로부터 소스 모드로 동작할 것을 요청하는 데이터를 수신하는 단계, 인버터와 배터리를 연결하고, 상기 인버터와 전원제어변환부와 연결하여 상기 제 1 디바이스에 에너지를 제공할 수 있는 소스 모드로 변환하는 단계, 상기 전원제어변환부에 결합된 유도 코일을 제 1 권선으로 설정하는 단계, 및 상기 제 1 디바이스의 제 2 권선으로 설정된 유도 코일에 에너지를 송신하는 단계를 포함한다.
기타 실시예들의 구체적인 사항들은 상세한 설명 및 도면들에 포함되어 있다.

이하, 본 발명의 실시예들에 의하여 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 공유하는 장치 및 방법을 설명하기 위한 블록도 또는 처리 흐름도에 대한 도면들을 참고하여 본 발명에 대해 설명하도록 한다.
또한, 각 블록은 특정된 논리적 기능(들)을 실행하기 위한 하나 이상의 실행 가능한 인스트럭션들을 포함하는 모듈, 세그먼트 또는 코드의 일부를 나타낼 수 있다. 또, 몇 가지 대체 실행예들에서는 블록들에서 언급된 기능들이 순서를 벗어나서 발생하는 것도 가능함을 주목해야 한다. 예컨대, 잇달아 도시되어 있는 두 개의 블록들은 사실 실질적으로 동시에 수행되는 것도 가능하고 또는 그 블록들이 때때로 해당하는 기능에 따라 역순으로 수행되는 것도 가능하다.
도 2는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 변압기의 내부 구성을 모바일 디바이스로 구현하는 개념을 보여주는 도면이다. 변압기(transformer)는 1차 권선(primary coil, 51)과 2차 권선(secondary coil, 52)으로 구성된다. 변압기는 크게 1차 권선과 2차 권선으로 이루어져있으며, 1차 권선에서 2차 권선으로 유도전압에 의해 에너지가 이동한다. 변압기에는 1차 권선과 2차 권선이 하나의 장치 내에 있는데, 본 명세서에서는 이들을 서로 다른 디바이스에 각각 장치시켜 두 디바이스가 비접촉으로 근거리에 있을 경우 충전을 수행할 수 있도록 한다.
예를 들어 제 1 디바이스(31)에 제 1 권선(51)이 설치되어 있으며, 제 2 디바이스(32)에 제 2 권선(32)이 설치되어, 두 디바이스가 일정 거리 이내에 위치하 게 되면 1차 권선(51)과 2차 권선(52)이 변압기를 구성하여 에너지를 이동시킬 수 있다. 따라서, 제 1 디바이스가 충전기의 기능을, 제 2 디바이스가 제 1 디바이스의 에너지를 받아서 충전을 할 수 있다.
도 3은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 모바일 디바이스의 구성을 보여주는 도면이다. 모바일 디바이스(100)에는 노트북, 휴대폰, PDA, PMP, MP3 플레이어 등 휴대용 장치를 포함한다. 휴대용 장치를 동작시키기 위해서 배터리(130)가 필수적으로 장착된다.
본 실시예에서 사용되는 '~부'라는 용어, 즉 '~모듈' 또는 '~테이블' 등은 소프트웨어, FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) 또는 주문형 반도체(Application Specific Integrated Circuit, ASIC)와 같은 하드웨어 구성요소를 의미하며, 모듈은 어떤 기능들을 수행한다. 그렇지만 모듈은 소프트웨어 또는 하드웨어에 한정되는 의미는 아니다. 모듈은 어드레싱할 수 있는 저장 매체에 있도록 구성될 수도 있고 하나 또는 그 이상의 프로세서들을 재생시키도록 구성될 수도 있다. 따라서, 일 예로서 모듈은 소프트웨어 구성요소들, 객체지향 소프트웨어 구성요소들, 클래스 구성요소들 및 태스크 구성요소들과 같은 구성요소들과, 프로세스들, 함수들, 속성들, 프로시저들, 서브루틴들, 프로그램 코드의 세그먼트들, 드라이버들, 펌웨어, 마이크로코드, 회로, 데이터, 데이터베이스, 데이터 구조들, 테이블들, 어레이들, 및 변수들을 포함한다. 구성요소들과 모듈들 안에서 제공되는 기능은 더 작은 수의 구성요소들 및 모듈들로 결합되거나 추가적인 구성요소들과 모듈들로 더 분리될 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 구성요소들 및 모듈들은 디바이스 내의 하나 또는 그 이상의 CPU들을 재생시키도록 구현될 수도 있다.
이하 본 명세서에서는 모바일 디바이스가 다른 디바이스에 에너지를 제공하는 것을 소스 모드(source mode), 다른 디바이스로부터 에너지를 얻어와서 자신의 배터리를 충전시키는 것을 로드 모드(load mode)라 한다.
구성을 살펴보면, 배터리(130), 정류기(120), 인버터(160), 전원제어/변환부(110)가 충전과 관련된 작업을 수행한다. 이외에도 충전 센서부(140), 통신부(170), 사용자 인터페이스부(150) 등이 있다.
정류기(整流器, rectifier)(120)는 교류(AC)로 입력된 전압을 직류 전압으로 변환하도록 만들어진 전기적인 회로소자 또는 장치이다. 도 3에서 정류기(120)는 전원제어/변환부(110)를 통해 교류 전압을 입력받아 배터리(130)에 직류 전압을 제공하여 배터리(130)가 충전되도록 한다. 정류기는 통상 변압기 등에서 많이 사용되는 것으로 정류기에 대한 자세한 설명은 당업자에게 자명한 바 생략한다.
인버터(inverter)(160)는 직류(DC)로 입력된 전압을 교류 전압으로 변환하도록 만들어진 전기적인 회로소자 또는 장치이다. 도 3에서 인버터(160)는 배터리(130)를 통해 직류 전압을 입력받아 전원제어/변환부(110)에 교류 전압을 제공한다. 그 결과 다른 모바일 디바이스의 배터리를 충전시키도록 한다. 인버터는 통상 변압기 등에서 많이 사용되는 것으로 정류기에 대한 자세한 설명은 당업자에게 자명한 바 생략한다.
전원제어/변환부(110)는 정류기(120)와 인버터(160) 중에서 어느 하나와 결합되어 모바일 디바이스(100)가 다른 디바이스로부터 에너지를 받거나(Load), 또는 다른 디바이스에 에너지를 제공하는(source)의 기능을 수행할 수 있다. 전원제어/변환부(110)는 교류(AC), 직류(DC)의 입출력 레벨을 조절한다. 또한 로드 모드, 소스 모드에 따라 달리 동작하여 에너지를 얻거나 방출할 수 있다.
충전 센서부(140)는 배터리(130)의 충전 상태를 지속적으로 체크하여 배터리(130)가 충전이 필요한지, 또는 다른 디바이스에 에너지를 제공할 수 있을 만큼 충전량이 충분한지 등의 정보를 사용자 인터페이스부(150)에 제공하면서, 또한 전원제어/변환부(110)가 정류기(120)와 결합할 것인지 또는 인버터(160)와 결합할 것인지를 제어할 수 있도록 정보를 제공한다.
통신부(170)는 무선으로 통신을 수행하며, 일정 거리 내에 존재하는 다른 모바일 디바이스를 감지하여 다른 디바이스의 상태에 대한 정보를 수신하고, 충전이 가능한지 여부를 조정할 수 있도록 한다. 또한, 인증 과정을 함께 수행할 수 있도록 하여, 인증되지 않은 모바일 디바이스가 다른 디바이스로부터 에너지를 받은 것을 막을 수 있다. 근거리에 존재하는 디바이스를 감지하기 위해서 RF(Radio Frequency)를 이용하여 통신이 가능하다. 예를 들어 NFC(Near Field Communication), 적외선 통신, 블루투스(Bluetooth), Zigbee 등을 적용할 수 있다. NFC를 사용할 경우, 방해 요소가 많은 환경에서도 통신을 수행할 수 있다. 또한 다른 RF 기술을 채용할 수 있다.
유도 코일(inductive coil)(180)은 모바일 디바이스가 에너지를 주는 역할을 하거나 받는 역할을 하는 경우에 따라 1차 권선(primary coil) 또는 2차 권선(secondary coil)의 기능을 수행한다. 이는 도 2에서 살펴본 바와 같다.
유도 코일(180)은 디바이스의 모드에 따라 달라지는데, 로드 모드일 경우, 유도 코일은 제 2 권선의 기능을 수행하고, 소스 모드인 경우에는 제 1 권선의 기능을 수행한다
사용자 인터페이스부(150)는 충전 센서부(140)와 통신부(170)를 통해 수신한 정보를 출력한다. 구현에 따라, 사용자가 모바일 디바이스를 소스 모드로 할 것인지 로드 모드로 할 것인지, 또는 로드 모드인 경우, 어떤 디바이스를 선택할 것인지에 대한 입력을 받을 수 있다. 또한 다수의 모바일 디바이스가 소스 모드인 경우, 각각의 모바일 디바이스의 충전량에 따라 특정 모바일 디바이스를 선택할 수 있다.
도 4는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 두 모바일 디바이스가 비접촉으로 충전을 수행하는 도면이다. 도 4에서 제 1 디바이스(101)는 로드 모드이며, 제 2 디바이스(102)는 소스 모드이다.
제 1 디바이스(101)의 전원제어/변환부(111)는 정류기(121)와 연결되어 정류기(121)는 전원제어/변환부(111)를 통해 교류로 입력된 에너지를 직류로 전환하여 배터리(131)에 제공하여 배터리(131)를 충전시킨다.
제 2 디바이스(102)의 전원제어/변환부(112)는 인버터(162)와 연결되어 있다. 인버터(162)는 배터리(132)에 충전된 직류 전압을 교류로 변환하여 전원제어/변환부(112)에 제공하면, 전원제어/변환부(112)는 제 1 디바이스(101)에 에너지를 제공한다.
에너지를 제공하고 수신하는 과정에서 필요한 정보 교환은 양 디바이스의 통 신부(171, 172)를 통해 이루어진다. 제 1 디바이스(101)의 충전 센서부(141)는 충전량을 지속적으로 체크하여 과도하게 충전되지 않도록 전원제어/변환부(111)에 정보를 제공한다. 전원제어/변환부(111)는 수신한 에너지를 배터리(131)의 충전 형태, 용량에 따라 충전될 수 있도록 에너지 수신을 제어한다.
제 2 디바이스(102)의 충전 센서부(142)는 배터리(132)의 충전량을 지속적으로 체크하여 과도하게 방전되지 않도록 전원제어/변환부(112)에 정보를 제공한다.
두 디바이스간에 에너지를 접촉없이 공유하는 과정을 예시적으로 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 제 1 디바이스(101)를 소유한 사용자가 배터리 용량이 부족하다는 것을 사용자 인터페이스부(151)를 통해 알게 된다. 배터리의 충전 상태에 대해서는 충전 센서부(141)를 이용해서 측정하고 통신할 수 있다. 제 1 디바이스(101)의 충전 배터리(131)는 노트북, PDA, MP3 플레이어, 게임 콘솔 등에 장착될 수 있으며, 각기 다른 전압과 전류, 커패시티를 가진다. 배터리 역시 니켈 메탈 하이브리드 배터리(NiMH)이거나 리튬 이온 배터리 등 다양하게 구성될 수 있다.
사용자는 배터리의 충전량이 부족함을 알게되면 충전을 시도할 수 있다. 그리고 주변의 디바이스에서 충전을 할 수 있는지 통신부(171)를 통해 정보를 수신하여 사용자 인터페이스부(151)에 출력될 수 있다. 또한 자동적으로 특정 디바이스를 선택할 수 있다. 디바이스 선택과 출력은 소프트웨어적으로 구현 가능하며, 디바이스의 감지는 통신부의 RF 신호의 출력 파워에 따라 달라질 수 있다.
선택한 제 2 디바이스(102)로부터 에너지를 공급받아 배터리(131)를 충전시키기 위해, 제 1 디바이스의 전원제어/변환부(111)와 정류기(121)는 서로 연결되어 배터리(131)에 에너지를 공급한다. 전원제어/변환부(111)에 결합된 유도코일(181)은 변압기의 제 2 권선의 기능을 수행한다. 제 1 디바이스는 로드 모드가 된다.
한편 제 2 디바이스(102)는 소스 모드로, 전원제어/변환부(112)는 인버터(162)와 연결되어 있다. 배터리(132)에 존재하는 에너지를 인버터(162)를 통해 직류에서 교류로 바꾼 후, 제 1 권선의 기능을 수행하는 유도 코일(182)를 통해 에너지를 제 1 디바이스(101)에 제공한다. 충전센서부(142)는 배터리(132)의 충전량을 체크하여 과다하게 에너지를 방출하지 않도록 전원제어/변환부(112)에 정보를 제공할 수 있다.
제 1 디바이스(101)의 통신부(171)와 제 2 디바이스(102)의 통신부(172)는 충전을 수행하는데 필요한 데이터를 송수신할 수 있다. 또한 서로에 대한 인증 과정을 수행하여, 검증된 디바이스 간에만 충전이 이루어지도록 할 수 있다.
도 5는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 다수의 모바일 디바이스가 하나의 디바이스로부터 충전을 수행하는 도면이다.
제 1 디바이스(103)와 제 2 디바이스(106)은 제 3 디바이스(104)로부터 에너지를 수신한다. 제 2 디바이스(106)와 제 3 디바이스(104)는 유도 코일을 각각 2개씩 가지고 있으면서, 로드 모드 또는 소스 모드를 수행한다.
제 3 디바이스(104)의 유도 코일(184)은 제 1 디바이스(103)의 유도 코일(183)과 결합하여 에너지를 공급하며, 제 3 디바이스(104)의 유도 코일(185)은 제 2 디바이스(106)의 유도 코일(187)과 결합하여 에너지를 공급한다.
디바이스 간에 유도 결합으로 에너지를 공유하기 위해서는 디바이스 내부에 전기장 또는 자기장의 영향을 받지 않도록 쉴딩(Shielding)하는 기법이 필요하다. 인체에 전자파의 영향을 최소화하기 위해 디바이스간에 에너지를 공유하는 거리를 좁게 할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 통신부에서 통신을 수행하는 거리는 1 m 이상 둘 수 있지만, 특정 디바이스와 소스/로드 모드로 에너지를 공유할 때에는 10cm 이하의 거리를 유지하도록 할 수 있다.
도 6은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 모바일 디바이스가 다른 모바일 디바이스로부터 에너지를 수신하는 로드 모드인 경우의 동작을 보여주는 순서도이다.
배터리의 충전 상태를 체크한다(S210). 이는 충전 센서부를 통해서 가능하다. 충전이 필요한 상태이면(S220) 에너지를 수신하기 위한 작업을 수행한다. 충전이 필요하지 않은 상태라면 주기적으로 배터리의 충전 상태를 체크한다(S210). 충전이 필요한 경우, 주변에 존재하는 디바이스들에서 소스모드로 동작이 가능한 디바이스를 감지한다(S230). 이는 근거리 통신부를 통해 주변의 디바이스와 근거리 통신을 수행하여, 어떤 디바이스에 얼마정도 충전이 되어있는지를 알 수 있다. 감지된 디바이스들의 충전 상태를 출력한다(S240). 사용자 인터페이스부를 통해 특정 디바이스를 선택한다(S250). 이때, 사용자의 개입 없이 자동으로 특정 디바이스를 선택할 수도 있다. 선택된 디바이스가 소스모드로 동작이 가능한지 검토한다(S260). 예를 들어 해당 디바이스가 소스 모드로 동작하지 않도록 설정될 수 있다. 또한 인증 과정을 통해서만 소스 모드로 동작할 경우, 인증이 실패할 경우, 소스 모드로 동작하지 않게 된다. 따라서, 소스 모드로 동작 가능하지 않게 되면 다른 디바이스를 선택할 수 있다.
한편 선택한 소스 디바이스가 소스모드로 동작이 가능하면, 충전하고자 한 디바이스는 로드 모드로 변환한다(S270). 로드 모드로의 변환으로는 정류기와 배터리를 연결하고, 상기 정류기와 전원제어변환부와 연결하여 외부로부터 에너지를 수신할 수 있도록 하는 것을 포함한다. 그리고 유도 코일을 제 2 권선(secondary coil)로 설정한다(S280). 설정된 제 2 권선과 선택한 소스 디바이스의 제 1 권선으로부터 에너지를 수신한다(S290). 에너지를 수신하면서 배터리의 충전 상태를 체크하여 과충전이 되지 않도록 할 수 있다.
도 7은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 모바일 디바이스가 다른 모바일 디바이스에 에너지를 송신하는 소스 모드인 경우의 동작을 보여주는 순서도이다.
배터리의 충전 상태를 충전을 필요로 하는 충전 디바이스에 송신한다(S310). 그리고 상기 충전 디바이스로부터 소스 모드로 동작할 것을 요청하는 데이터를 수신한다(S320). 충전 디바이스와 인증 과정을 수행한다(S330). 이는 검증되지 않은 디바이스로 방전하는 것을 막기 위함이다. 인증에 실패하면 에너지를 송신하지 않는다.
한편, 인증이 성공하면 에너지를 송신하기 위한 동작을 수행한다. 먼저 소스 모드로 변환한다(S350). 앞에서 살펴본 바와 같이, 소스 모드로 변환하기 위해 인버터와 배터리를 연결하고, 상기 인버터와 전원제어변환부와 연결하여 배터리의 전원을 충전 디바이스로 송신할 수 있도록 한다. 그리고 유도 코일을 제 1 권선(primary coil)로 설정한다(S360). 이후 배터리의 전원을 이용하여 충전 디바이스에 에너지를 송신한다(S370).
에너지를 송신하면서, 배터리의 충전 상태를 체크하여 과방전이 되지않도록 할 수 있다.
도 8은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 모바일 디바이스간의 구성을 보여주는 개념도이다.
사용자는 휴대폰(60), PDA(70), 노트북(80)과 같이 배터리로 동작하는 모바일 디바이스간에 전원을 공유할 수 있다. 예를 들어, PDA의 배터리 충전량이 낮을 경우, 노트북의 배터리로부터 접촉이나 전선없이 충전할 수 있다. 동시에 휴대폰(60)의 배터리도 노트북을 통해 충전 가능하다.
본 명세서에서의 모바일 디바이스는 휴대폰, PDA, 노트북 등의 멀티미디어 디바이스 외에도 PAN(Personal Area Network)을 구성하는 디바이스에도 적용하여 특정 거리 내에 존재하는 디바이스들 사이에 전원을 공유할 수 있도록 한다.
본 발명이 속하는 기술분야의 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 본 발명이 그 기술적 사상이나 필수적인 특징을 변경하지 않고서 다른 구체적인 형태로 실시될 수 있다는 것을 이해할 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로 이상에서 기술한 실시예들은 모든 면에서 예시적인 것이며 한정적이 아닌 것으로 이해해야만 한다. 본 발명의 범위는 상기 상세한 설명보다는 후술하는 특허청구의 범위에 의하여 나타내어지며, 특허청구의 범위의 의미 및 범위 그리고 그 균등 개념으로부터 도출되는 모든 변경 또는 변형된 형태가 본 발명의 범위에 포함되는 것으로 해석되어야 한다.
본 발명을 구현함으로써 양방향의, 비접촉의 충전이 이루어지며, 모바일 디 바이스간에 전원을 공유할 수 있다.
본 발명을 구현함으로써 고정된 AC 전원 충전기 없이 충전이 가능하여 모바일 디바이스의 이동성을 향상시킬 수 있으며, 개별 모바일 디바이스의 배터리 타입에 제한되지 않고 전원을 공유할 수 있다.

Claims (16)

  1. 전원을 공급하는 제 1 배터리;
    교류입력 전압을 받아 직류전압으로 변환하여 출력하는 정류기;
    직류입력 전압을 받아 교류전압으로 변환하여 출력하는 인버터;
    상기 정류기와 인버터 중 하나와 연결하여 상기 제 1 배터리를 충전시키기거나 또는 상기 제 1 배터리의 전원으로 외부 디바이스에 포함된 제 2 배터리를 충전시키기 위해 전원을 제공하는 전원제어변환부; 및
    상기 외부 디바이스와 통신을 수행하는 근거리 통신부를 포함하는, 장치.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제 1 배터리의 충전 상태를 감지하는 충전 센서부를 포함하며,
    상기 충전 센서부가 상기 제 1 배터리의 잔여 충전량이 소정 값 이하인 경우, 상기 근거리 통신부를 통해 주변에 존재하는 디바이스들의 충전 상태를 수신하는, 장치.
  3. 제 2항에 있어서
    상기 근거리 통신부가 수신한 디바이스들의 충전 상태를 출력하는 사용자 인터페이스부를 더 포함하는, 장치.
  4. 제 1항에 있어서,
    상기 근거리 통신부는 상기 외부 디바이스의 근거리 통신부와 인증을 수행하는, 장치.
  5. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 전원제어변환부는 유도 코일에 연결되어 있으며,
    상기 유도 코일이 제 1 권선 또는 제 2 권선으로 설정되어 상기 외부 디바이스와 변압기의 기능을 제공하는, 장치.
  6. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 제 1 배터리의 충전량이 소정 크기 이하인 경우,
    상기 전원제어변환부는 상기 정류기와 연결하고,
    상기 전원제어변환부에 결합된 유도 코일을 2차 권선으로 설정하며,
    상기 근거리 통신부는 상기 외부 디바이스에 전원 제공 모드로 설정할 것을 요청하는 데이터를 송신하여,
    상기 외부 디바이스의 유도 코일이 1차 권선으로 설정되어 상기 제 1 배터리를 충전시키는, 장치.
  7. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 근거리 통신부가 전원 제공 모드로 설정할 것을 요청하는 데이터를 상 기 외부 디바이스로부터 수신한 경우,
    상기 전원제어변환부는 상기 인버터와 연결하고,
    상기 전원제어변환부에 결합된 유도 코일을 1차 권선으로 설정하여, 상기 외부 디바이스에 전원을 공급하는, 장치.
  8. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 근거리 통신부는 NFC를 따르는, 장치.
  9. 제 1 항에 있어서,
    상기 근거리 통신부는 RF 태그를 통해 데이터를 송수신하는, 장치.
  10. 근거리 통신부를 통해 소스 모드로 동작이 가능한 디바이스를 감지하는 단계;
    상기 감지된 제 1 디바이스에 소스 모드로 동작할 것을 요청하는 단계;
    정류기와 배터리를 연결하고, 상기 정류기와 전원제어변환부와 연결하여 외부로부터 에너지를 수신할 수 있는 로드 모드로 변환하는 단계;
    상기 전원제어변환부에 결합된 유도 코일을 제 2 권선으로 설정하는 단계; 및
    상기 제 1 디바이스의 제 1 권선으로 설정된 유도 코일로부터 에너지를 수신하는 단계를 포함하는, 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 로드하는 방법.
  11. 제 10항에 있어서,
    상기 감지하는 단계 이전에 상기 배터리의 충전 상태를 체크하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 충전하는 방법.
  12. 제 10항에 있어서
    상기 근거리 통신부가 감지한 디바이스들의 전원 상태를 출력하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 로드하는 방법.
  13. 제 10항에 있어서,
    상기 요청하는 단계 이전에, 상기 제 1 디바이스와 인증을 수행하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 로드하는 방법.
  14. 근거리 통신부를 통해 제 1 디바이스로부터 소스 모드로 동작할 것을 요청하는 데이터를 수신하는 단계;
    인버터와 배터리를 연결하고, 상기 인버터와 전원제어변환부와 연결하여 상기 제 1 디바이스에 에너지를 제공할 수 있는 소스 모드로 변환하는 단계;
    상기 전원제어변환부에 결합된 유도 코일을 제 1 권선으로 설정하는 단계; 및
    상기 제 1 디바이스의 제 2 권선으로 설정된 유도 코일에 에너지를 송신하는 단계를 포함하는, 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 전송하는 방법.
  15. 제 14항에 있어서,
    상기 수신하는 단계 이전에 상기 배터리의 충전 상태를 체크하는 단계; 및
    상기 체크한 배터리의 충전 상태를 송신하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 전송하는 방법.
  16. 제 14항에 있어서,
    상기 수신하는 단계 이후에, 상기 제 1 디바이스와 인증을 수행하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 유도 방식에 의해 무선으로 전원을 전송하는 방법.
