The present invention relates to a communication terminal, a server system and a conversion method for supporting content conversion. More particularly, the present invention relates to a communication terminal, a server system, and a method for converting the content, which support content conversion, so that content stored in the server system can be shared by various terminals.
Generally, one communication terminal has one file system for systematically processing system calls and providing data, which is called a local file system. The local file system can be used only by the corresponding communication terminal, and the file is stored only in a storage device physically connected thereto. However, the local file system loses all stored data when a problem occurs in the storage device, and it is difficult to share data with a user of another communication terminal or another communication terminal.
As the type and number of communication terminals used by individuals increase, the environment of the communication network to which the communication terminals are connected is diversified, and the functions of the communication terminals are compounded, the necessity of data sharing between communication terminals is increasing. In particular, the explosive growth of the wired and wireless Internet population, the emergence of a variety of media files such as MPEG-4 and ASF, the demand for various quality files for each connected device, and the increase of storage due to the high resolution media files have resulted in the expansion of various media files. Storing to cause a waste of resources not only of the communication terminal but also of a server system that provides a service in connection with it. In order to prevent this, there is a need for a technology for sharing and synchronizing data, and together with the need for a technology for converting data into a form suitable for each communication terminal.
Currently, there is Microsoft's roanming profile technology as a technology for sharing user's personal data on desktop computers. This provides access to personal data on any of the desktop computers bound to a domain. However, since it can be used only on a desktop computer on which the Windows program is installed, the environment for file sharing is limited, and thus it is difficult to apply to a mobile terminal having various software environments, hardware environments, and communication environments. Therefore, it is very useful to provide a data synchronization and sharing service reflecting the characteristics of the communication terminal, and it is also important to convert the data into an optimal form that can be used in the communication terminal.
The technical problem to be achieved by the present invention is to provide a communication terminal, a server system and a method for converting the content to support the content conversion to suit the characteristics of the communication terminal is used.

The virtual file system layer unit is located above the adaptation layer and supports a protocol of the virtual file system layer that accepts system calls and delivers them to the adaptation layer.
According to another feature of the invention, there is provided a content conversion method of a server system for sharing a data file with at least one communication terminal connected via a network. First, a distributed file system based mount point is generated for at least one communication terminal, and a request for transmission of a data file through the mount point is received from the communication terminal. Next, it is determined whether the communication terminal is set to perform content conversion based on the communication terminal information. If the communication terminal is set to not perform content conversion, after the content conversion of the data file, Transmit to the communication terminal. Then, the conversion information of the data file is stored together with the data file and provided to the file sharing of another communication terminal.
According to still another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a content conversion method of a communication terminal sharing a data file with a server system and at least one other communication terminal connected through a network. First, a list of files available in the communication terminal and access path information for the corresponding file are received from a server system, and a data file is transmitted through the received file access path. After performing content conversion on the received data file, the data file is transmitted to the server system. Here, the communication terminal may receive a conversion unit for conversion of the data file from the server system and apply it to the internal protocol structure.

All. As used herein, the term "contents" refers to various types of data files including image files, document files, and video files shared by the server system and the communication terminal.
Now, a communication terminal, a server system, and a conversion method for supporting content conversion according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
1 is a diagram illustrating a connection between a communication terminal and a server system according to an embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 1, a
2 is a diagram illustrating a protocol structure of a communication terminal and a server system according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 2, a protocol according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a distributed file system layer (I), an adaptation layer (II), a virtual file system layer (III), and an application layer (IV). .
The distributed file system layer (I) adopts a distributed file system technology in which physically different terminals connect to a network to provide data sharing and synchronization. The distributed file system layer I accommodates various file system drivers (not shown) for providing services to users. Since distributed file system layer (I) is intended to support content sharing between multiple communication terminals and server systems, it supports user authentication and data encryption to allow access to only authorized communication terminals or users. . For example, the distributed file system layer I may assign a specific ID to all users of the communication terminal, or the user's confirmation may use an encrypted password. The distributed file system layer I sets and classifies how much authority a particular communication terminal or user has to which file or directory.
In addition, the distributed file system layer (I) supports a disconnected operation function that allows a user to access a resource that is accessible only when the communication terminal is connected to the communication network even when the communication terminal is disconnected. . To this end, in the state of being connected with the communication network, the communication terminal copies and stores the resources to be worked on from the server, and when it is reconnected with the communication network, updates the result of the work to the server. Through this process, data consistency can be achieved with respect to data shared by a plurality of communication terminal and server systems.
The adaptation layer (II) performs a function of converting the content according to the characteristics of the
The virtual file system layer III performs the function of an abstracted interface that handles all system calls originating from the application layer. The virtual file system layer (III) conceptualizes the work between the distributed file system layer (I) and the operating system to facilitate different implementations on various operating systems. The virtual file system layer III processes users and processes in general so that they can be used without knowing which file belongs to which file system. That is, when a request is made to use all file systems including floppy disks, CO-ROMs, etc., the request is sent to the virtual file system layer III, and the virtual file system layer III is distributed file system layer I. Send it to the appropriate file system driver in. In an embodiment of the present invention, these system calls are sent from the virtual file system layer III to the distributed file system layer I via the adaptation layer II.
The application layer IV contains protocols for supporting various applications and programs designed to perform specific services. This may include various application programs such as an MP3 player, an image viewer, and a video communication program.
3 is a diagram illustrating a configuration of a communication terminal and a server system equipped with a protocol structure according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 3, the communication terminal and server system according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a distributed file system layer unit 100, an
Since the distributed file system layer unit 100, the virtual file
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The
The
That is, the
The image conversion unit 231 is based on the size of the display of the
The document conversion unit 232 converts the document into an appropriate form based on the format information and the application program information of the document data that can be displayed on the
In the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the
4 is a flowchart illustrating a mounting process for providing content according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 1, when the
(S401).The
On the basis of the information stored in the
The
If it is determined that some of the necessary conversion units do not exist, the
When the installation of the module for the content conversion in the
On the basis of the list of files and directories obtained as a result of the filtering, the
The information transmitted to the
In the embodiment of the present invention, the transmission of the conversion module required for the
In the mounting process as shown in FIG. 4, the
Hereinafter, content conversion in the
(S501).As shown in FIG. 5, when a user selects a specific file from a list of files and directories received in the mounting process displayed on the
(S503).When the content conversion is set in the
When the content conversion in the
In this case, the
When the content conversion in the
(S508).The change information on the file transmitted from the
6 is a schematic structural diagram of a data frame generated as a result of content conversion according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Modification of the data file resulting from the content conversion made in the
The conversion history stores information related to content conversion made in the
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto, and various modifications and improvements of those skilled in the art using the basic concepts of the present invention defined in the following claims are also provided. It belongs to the scope of rights.
As described above, according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, automatic conversion of contents reflecting the characteristics of the communication terminal is possible, and the converted contents can be easily shared by various communication terminals having the same protocol structure.
Further, according to an embodiment of the present invention, by adopting a protocol structure having a separate layer for content conversion, optimized content can be generated in real time without changing the upper layer.
