Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for receiving audio and video signals transmitted from an IMT-2000 wireless terminal through a wire video communication device connected to a wireless local area network(LAN) or very high speed communication network, and displaying the same is provided to realize communication with an IMT-2000 wireless terminal by wire. CONSTITUTION: A sender transmits audio and video signals to a base station of a communication company through an international mobile telecommunication(IMT)-2000 wireless terminal. The base station of the communication company receives the audio and video signals for transferring the same to a video communication device installed at home or in an office of a recipient via a switching center through a very high speed communication network. The video communication device converts a format of the video signals into a display format. The converted video signals are interpolated to prevent signal distortion due to blocking. The format of the video signals is converted into a video format according to a signal process method of a display device installed at home of the recipient. The video signals are displayed through a display of the video communication device.
