Abstract

PURPOSE: A real-time relay broadcasting system using a mobile network is provided to implement real-time outside broadcasting at a low cost without the necessity of using broadcast relay equipments. CONSTITUTION: A real-time relay broadcasting system using a mobile network consists of an image transmitting unit(110), a sound transmitting unit(120), a base station(130), a PDSN(Packet Data Service Node)(140), an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(150), and a broadcasting station(160). The image transmitting unit(110) digitalizes and compresses an image through an image compression algorithm, such as MPEG2/4, etc., and transmits it to the base station(130). The sound transmitting unit(120) digitalizes and compresses a sound through a sound compression algorithm, such as MP3, AAC, etc., and transmits it to the base station(130). The base station(130) collects the image and the sound and transmits them to the PDSN(140). The PDSN(140) transmits the image/sound data transmitted from the base station(130) to the MSC(150). The MSC(150) transfers the image/sound data to the broadcasting station(160). The broadcasting station(160) edits the image/sound data and sends the edited data to a relevant media.
