Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for filtering multichannel program information is provided so that a user selects time or program content information and searches program information of each channel by the selected information. Therefore, the user can enjoy desired programs of each channel. CONSTITUTION: An operation signal inputting part(100) receives filtering requesting signal of a user by external operation signal. A channel program information storing part(140) stores time and content information of programs of each channel received by several broadcasting channel. If the operation signal inputting part(100) receives filtering reference information generation or change requesting signal, a filtering reference information storing part(120) stores filtering reference information inputted by operation of the user. If the operation signal inputting part(100) receives filtering requesting signal, a channel information searcher(130) searches the channel program information storing part(140) with the filtering reference information stored in the filtering reference information storing part(120). A buffer(150) stores result of the search temporarily. An OSD output controlling part(160) outputs content of the buffer(150) to the user through OSD screen.
