Claims (7)
- 기판에 매트릭스로 배열된 복수의 픽셀 회로;상기 복수의 픽셀 회로의 캐패시턴스에 신호를 기입하기 위해 상기 픽셀 회로의 각 행에 대한 선택을 시프트 - 상기 시프트 선택은 제1 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV1)에 의해 시작됨 - 하고, 신호 기입 기간을 설정하는 픽셀 선택 게이트 신호를 선택된 행에 대한 라인에 인가하는 픽셀 선택 게이트 드라이버; 및복수의 픽셀 회로의 디스플레이 소자에 대한 방출 기간을 설정하기 위해 상기 픽셀 회로의 각 행에 대한 선택을 시프트하며, 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호를 선택된 행에 대한 라인에 인가하는 조명 온/오프 드라이버를 포함하는 능동 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법으로서,상기 조명 온/오프 드라이버는 시작 펄스에서 상기 픽셀 회로의 각 행에 대한 시프트 선택을 시작하는 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터, 및 상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터의 출력이 상기 픽셀 회로의 선택된 행에 인가되도록 제2 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV2)가 인가되는 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호 출력 제어 회로를 구비하며,파워-온 후에, 상기 픽셀 선택 게이트 드라이버는 모든 행에 있는 픽셀 회로의 캐패시턴스에 신호를 기입하고 나서 상기 조명 온/오프 드라이버를 구동시키도록 구동되며,상기 조명 온/오프 드라이버는 상기 제2 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV2)가 상기 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호 출력 제어 회로에 인가된 때 또는 후에 시작 펄스가 상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터에 인가되도록 구동을 실행하는 능동 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 픽셀 선택 게이트 드라이버로부터의 픽셀 선택 게이트 신호에 대한 상기 제1 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV1)는, 상기 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호 출력 제어 회로에 대한 상기 제2 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV2)가 시작되기 1 수직 기간 전에 시작되는 능동 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터에 대한 시작 펄스는, 상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터가 1 수직 기간 동안 워밍업 동작을 실행하도록 상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터를 시작시키고, 이후 상기 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호 출력 제어 회로에 대한 상기 제2 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV2)가 주어진 레벨에 고정되어 있는 동안 상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터를 정지시키며,연속해서, 상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터에 대한 시작 펄스는, 상기 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호 출력 제어 회로에 대한 상기 제2 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV2)가 시작된 후 상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터를 시작시키는 능동 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터가 1 수직 기간 워밍업 동작을 시작한 때, 상기 픽셀 선택 게이트 드라이버로부터의 픽셀 선택 게이트 신호에 대한 상기 제1 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV1)가 시작되며,상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터의 1 수직 기간 워밍업 동작의 정지 이후의 1 수직 기간 후에, 상기 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호 출력 제어 회로에 대한 상기 제2 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV2)가 시작되는 능동 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제2항 또는 제4항에 있어서, 상기 복수의 픽셀 회로, 상기 픽셀 선택 게이트 드라이버, 및 상기 조명 온/오프 드라이버에 대한 전원 전압이 안정화된 후에, 상기 픽셀 선택 게이트 드라이버로부터의 픽셀 선택 게이트 신호에 대한 상기 제1 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV1)가 시작되는 능동 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법.
- 기판에 매트릭스로 배열된 복수의 픽셀 회로, 상기 복수의 픽셀 회로의 캐패시턴스에 신호를 기입하기 위해 상기 픽셀 회로의 각 행에 대한 선택을 시프트 - 상기 시프트 선택은 제1 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV1)에 의해 시작됨 - 하고, 신호 기입 기간을 설정하는 픽셀 선택 게이트 신호를 선택된 행에 대한 라인에 인가하는 픽셀 선택 게이트 드라이버, 상기 복수의 픽셀 회로의 디스플레이 소자에 대한 방출 기간을 설정하기 위해 상기 픽셀 회로의 각 행에 대한 선택을 시프트하며, 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호를 선택된 행에 대한 라인에 인가하는 조명 온/오프 드라이버를 포함하는 능동 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법으로서,상기 조명 온/오프 드라이버는 시작 펄스에서 상기 픽셀 회로의 각 행에 대한 시프트 선택을 시작하는 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터, 상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터의 출력이 상기 픽셀 회로의 선택된 행에 인가되도록 제2 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV2)가 인가되는 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호 출력 제어 회로, 및 상기 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호 출력 제어 회로로부터의 출력의 레벨을 조정하고 조정된 레벨의 출력을 상기 행에 대한 라인에 제공하는 레벨 시프터를 포함하며,적어도 상기 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호 출력 제어 회로에 대한 상기 제2 출력 인에이블 신호(OEV2)가 시작될 때,상기 조명 온/오프 시프트 레지스터에 대한 시작 펄스는, 각 행에 대한 라인에 제공되는 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호의 듀티가 1 수직 기간에서의 듀티의 분수(fraction)와 같도록 설정되는 능동 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서, 각 행에 대한 라인에 제공되는 조명 온/오프 게이트 신호의 듀티가 1 수직 기간에서의 듀티의 분수와 같도록 설정을 행하는 방법은 디스플레이 장치의 정상 동작을 위한 휘도를 조정하는 데 이용되는 능동 매트릭스형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법.
