Abstract

A removable case of a wireless terminal is provided to remove inconvenience that a user cannot use the wireless terminal while charging the external case. A removable case of a wireless terminal includes: a charging cradle detachably mounted on the external case(200); a second port(210) receiving a power source by being connected to a fourth port of the charging cradle; and the embedded battery receiving a power source through the second port. The second port supplies a power source to the wireless terminal or a battery of the wireless terminal by being connected to a first port of the wireless terminal.

일반적으로 휴대단말기는 이동하면서 통화 및 데이터를 교환할 수 있는 통신 기기를 의미하는데, 이러한 휴대단말기의 사용은 현대인의 일상 생활에 있어서 필수적인 것의 하나로 인식된다. 이렇게 휴대단말기가 널리 사용되는 근래에는 휴대단말기에서 다양한 기능들이 구현되어 사용자의 편의를 증대시키고 있으나, 휴대단말기에서 구현되는 기능이 많아질수록 휴대단말기의 크기도 같이 커지는 상황에 있다. 따라서 최근에는 휴대단말기의 크기 및 두께를 최소화하는 슬림형 휴대단말기가 사용자에게 크게 어필하고 있는데, 이러한 슬림형 휴대단말기는 슬림이라는 특 성으로 인해서 외형을 보호하는 외장형 케이스를 필요로 한다. 슬림형 휴대단말기의 예로 바(Bar) 타입의 슬림형 휴대단말기(일명 카드폰)를 들 수 있으며, 이러한 슬림형 휴대단말기의 외장형 케이스는 배터리 용량이 작은 슬림형 휴대단말기의 특성을 고려해 내장 배터리를 탑재하고 있다. 그러나 종래의 외장형 케이스의 내장 배터리는 외장형 케이스와 연결된 슬림형 휴대단말기를 통해서만 충전이 가능하였다. 즉, 외장형 케이스 단독으로는 내장 배터리를 충전할 수 없는 문제점이 있었다. 즉, 사용자는 슬림형 휴대단말기와 외장형 케이스가 연결된 상태에서 슬림형 휴대단말기로 공급되는 전원을 통해서만 외장형 케이스의 내장 배터리를 충전할 수 있는 불편함을 겪었다.
