Algivy image residual image removal method of the present invention comprises the steps of compressing the initial image of the first and second frames of the RGB component provided in sequence; A current image restoration step of restoring an initial image of the second frame compressed in the compression step to a current restoration image; And restoring a previous image of the first frame stored in the frame memory to a previous restored image. And a still image reading step of comparing the current restored image with the previous restored image and generating a current selected image according to the compared result; And an interpolation step that may occur as a corrected image by interpolating the current selected image. In this case, the compressing step includes the M × N size block having the average value (k + 1 bits), variance value (m bits), bitmap (MxN bits), and one common to the RGB components for each of the RGB components. And a step represented by a mode bit (1 bit). In the still image reading step, when the current restored image is read as a still image, an initial image of the second frame is generated as the current selected image, and as a result of the comparison between the current restored image and the previous restored image, When the current restored image is read as not being a still image, the current restored image is generated as the current selected image. The interpolation step outputs the current selected image as the corrected image when the initial image of the second frame is generated as the current selected image.

BACKGROUND OF THE
Recently, LCD panels have been used as devices for displaying moving images in DVD players, video games, televisions, and the like. However, one of the disadvantages of the LCD panel is that an afterimage occurs in a moving image.
Afterimage occurs because the LCD panel, unlike CRT, continuously spreads the image with a sample and hold type display device. These shortcomings are improved by using Black Image Insertion and Blinking Back Light.
Another reason for the afterimage phenomenon is that the response speed of the liquid crystal due to pixel change is slow due to physical characteristics. In order to improve the response speed problem, as shown in FIG. 1, the overdrive technique is used, but there is a problem of using a lot of memory.

LVDS(Low Voltage Difference Signal) 입력부(200)는 LVDS로 입력받은 영상을 3.3V TTL(Tansistor-Transistor Logic)신호의 초기 RGB 영상으로 변환한다.

An afterimage removing method of an RGB image of the present invention comprises the steps of: compressing an initial image of first and second frames of an RGB component sequentially provided; A frame memory step of storing an initial image of the first frame compressed in the compression step; A current image restoration step of restoring an initial image of the second frame compressed in the compression step to a current restoration image; And restoring a previous image of the first frame stored in the frame memory to a previous restored image. In addition, the afterimage removal method of the RGB image receives the initial image of the first and second frames, the current restored image restored in the current image restoration step and the previous restored image restored in the previous image restoration step, A still image reading step of comparing a reconstructed image with the previous restored image and generating a current selected image according to the compared result; And an interpolation step of generating the corrected image by interpolating the current selected image generated from the still image reading unit using predetermined correction data. The compressing step divides the initial image into blocks consisting of M x N pixels, and when each of the pixels is represented by n bits, for pixels constituting an M x N size block of the initial image, R, G, Obtaining an average and a variance of the block for each B component; Generating a bitmap for each pixel value constituting the block by dividing the pixel into a larger pixel and a smaller pixel based on the average value; The variance is expressed when the variance is expressed as
Meanwhile, in the present specification, for convenience of description, it is assumed that images of consecutive 'first frame' and 'second frame' are sequentially provided to the motion afterimage removing apparatus of the present invention. In this case, when the image of the second frame is provided after the image of the first frame, the image of the first frame may be referred to as a 'previous image', and the image of the second frame may be referred to as a 'current image'.
Hereinafter, a method for removing afterimages of RGB images according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
First, the RGB image compression method applied to the present invention will be described. 2 is a flowchart illustrating an RGB image compression method applied to the present invention. It is assumed that the RGB image is divided into blocks consisting of M x N pixels, and each pixel is represented by n bits.
For the pixels constituting the M × N block of the RGB image, the average and the variance of the blocks are calculated for each of R, G, and B components (step 200). For each pixel value constituting the block, Based on the average value, a bitmap is generated by dividing the pixel into a larger pixel and a smaller pixel (step 210).
The variance is expressed when the variance is expressed as predetermined
Then, the M × N sized block is assigned to the average value (k + 1 bit), variance value (m bit), bitmap (MxN bit), and one mode bit common to the RGB component for each RGB component. (1 bit) (step 230).
An embodiment of the RGB image compression method according to the present invention will be described. First, it is assumed that the size of a block constituting the RGB image is 2 x 4, and each of the RGB components of each pixel constituting the block is represented by 24 bits of 8 bits.
First, the average and the variance of each 2x4 block of RGB shown in FIG. 3A are calculated (step 200). Equations 3 and 4 are equations for calculating the average and the variance.
here Is average, Is the variance, V and H are the block size, and xi is the block data.
Then, as shown in (b) of FIG. 3, a bitmap having 1 for data larger than the average value and 0 for small data is generated (step 210). For example, the average value is 150 for the R component of the RGB image. If the pixel value of the 2x4 block is 100, 75, 180, 250, 200, 130, 78, 285, the bitmap is 0, 0, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0, 1.
Since the maximum magnitude of the RGB data gradation signal is 255, the average range is from 0 to 255 and the variance is from 0 to 128. The average number of bits for a block allocates 8 bits and the number of bits for variance allocates 5 bits. An 8-bit allocation for the mean covers all of the data range of the mean, but a 5-bit allocation for the variance does not cover all of the range of variance. Thus, as shown in (c) of FIG. 3, when the mode bit is assigned to 1 and the mode bit is 1, the upper 5 bits of the variance are represented, and when the mode bit is 0, the lower 5 bits are represented. Create an average (8 bits), variance (5 bits), mode bits (1 bit), and bitmap (8 bits) for each 2x4 block (average 8 bits + distributed 5 bits + bitmap 8 bits) x 3 +
After all, according to the prior art, when representing a 2x4 block, 3x8x8 = 192 bits are required for RGB. However, according to the RGB image compression method according to the present invention, the amount of data is greatly reduced by compressing 21x3 + 1 = 64 bits. That is, it can be reduced to 1/3.

First, in operation S800, the initial image IMINT of the first and second frames of the RGB components, which are sequentially provided, is compressed by the
In operation S810, the initial image of the compressed first frame is stored in the
In operation S820, the initial image of the second compressed frame is restored to the current restored image IMREN through the
In operation S840, the still image reading unit 330 compares the restored previous restored image IMREP with the restored current restored image IMREN, and the current restored image IMREN is a still image. Determine whether or not. The current selected image IMSEL is generated according to the comparison result. That is, when the current restored image IMREN is read as a still image as a result of the comparison between the current restored image IMREN and the previous restored image IMREP, the initial image IMINT of the second frame is selected as the current selection. It is generated as an image IMSEL. And, as a result of comparing the current restored image IMREN with the previous restored image IMREP, if the current restored image IMREN is read as not being a still image, the current restored image IMREN is the current selected image. (IMSEL).
In operation S850, when the initial RGB image IMINT of the second frame is generated as the current selection image IMSEL, the current selection image IMSEL is output as the correction image IMCOR as it is. In operation S860, when the current restored image IMREN is generated as the current selected image IMSEL, the
