본 발명은 프로젝션 TV 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 프로젝션 TV는 사용자선택부와, 외부입력부와, 방송입력부와, 신호처리부와, 디스플레이부를 포함하여 외부신호를 수신하여 표시하는 외부수신모드와, 방송신호를 수신하여 표시하는 방송수신모드를 가지며, 상기 외부수신모드상태에서 상기 외부신호가 수신되지 않는 것으로 판단되는 경우 소정의 정지패턴영상이 출력되도록 상기 신호처리부를 제어하고, 상기 소정의 정지패턴영상이 표시되는 상태에서 소정의 시간동안 상기 사용자선택부로부터 입력이 없는 경우 자동으로 상기 방송신호모드로 전환하는 제어부를 포함한다. 그리하여 외부수신모드에서 소정의 정지패턴영상이 출력되는 경우 방송수신모드로 자동 전환함으로써 화면 잔상이 생기는 버닝 현상을 방지할 수 있다.The present invention relates to a projection TV and a control method thereof.
