본 발명은 티브이의 자동 채널 설정 방법에 관한 것으로, 특히 종래의 방법에 있어서는 시청자가 안테나를 올바르게 연결하지 않았거나 방송시간이 아닌 상태에서 자동 채널 설정을 실행하면 티브이는 신호가 옳지 않으므로 전(全)채널을 지워버리거나, 옳지않은 신호가 입력되는 채널로 새로이 설정되므로써 원하지 않는 채널이 기억되어 채널 증감키에 의해서 한 번에 원하는 채널을 선택할 수 없게 되는 문제점이 있었다. 따라서, 본 발명은 자동 채널 설정키가 입력되면 티브이는 방송 신호가 있을 가능성이 가장 큰 이전에 기억되어 있던 채널을 순차선국하여 신호가 있으면 방송을 정상적으로 수신하고 있다고 판단하여 자동 채널 설정을 수행하고, 이전에 기억되어 있던 전(全)채널에 신호가 하나도 존재하지 않으면 안테나 연결이 잘못되었거나 방송시간이 아니다는 경고 메시지를 출력하여 안테나 연결상태가 불량이거나 방송시간이 아닌 경우에 자동 채널 설정이 수행되는 것을 방지하는 효과가 있다.The present invention relates to a TV automatic channel setting method.
