Abstract

PURPOSE: A power saving apparatus in a mobile communication terminal having dual bands is provided to reduce power consumption in a CDMA-type terminal, by supplying a band selection control signal as well as a power control signal to a power supply part, and thereby making power supply applied only to radio frequency parts that correspond to a service band. CONSTITUTION: A dual-band regulator(300) receives a cell signal(100) and a PCS(Personal Communication Service) signal(200) which serve as control signals for selecting a band. The regulator(300) further receives a sleep signal(12), an idle signal(13) and control signals for selecting one of transmission and reception modes. The regulator(300) combines the four control signals(100,200),(12,13) with each other, and thereby supplies voltages(600,400,700,500) to a cell radio frequency receiver, a PCS radio frequency receiver, a cell radio frequency transmitter, and a PCS radio frequency transmitter, respectively.
