Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase linearity range of characteristic of a non-contact displacement detector, by arranging a yoke having a plane parallel with an Y-Z plane and a yoke parallel with an X-Z plane. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic circuit is completed with a yoke 1 having a plane parallel with an X-Z plane and is so located at such a distance that the yoke will not disturb a magnetic field at the position of the element 3 in a moving path of a magnetosensitive element 3. In the path, a magnetic flux 10 generated with a magnet 2 enters the yoke having a plane parallel with a Y-Z plane therebelow from a magnet 2, then, reaches the magnet 2 passing through a yoke having a plane parallel with the X-Z plane from the yoke and further a yoke having a plane parallel with the Y-Z plane thereabove. In other words, a magnetic flux generated at a desired position of the magnet 2 will not cross or combines with a magnetic flux generated from any other than the position. Thus, a flux density within a gap of the yoke and the magnet 2 at a desired position depends on the intensity of a magnetic field at the position. This eliminates the concentration of the magnetic flux with no plane parallel to an X-Y plane thereby enabling the prevention of saturation of the magnetic flux.
