Abstract

CONSTITUTION:In an electrostatic motor, insulating dielectric thin films 21, 22 having permittivity epsilon0 are applied onto the surface of a metal strip board 11 having slits 3 for forming rectangular parallelepiped gaps with same pitch in the moving direction of the metal board 1, and flexible electrodes 41, 42 are attracted electrostatically from above and below with a micro voltage. AC voltages having phase difference of 120 deg., electrical angle are applied through a driving circuit onto respective electrodes in the order of R, S, T. Consequently, dielectric members 11, 13,... composed of metal having infinite permittivity produce attracting force through charges on the electrodes and moves a moving chip board 5 in the direction of an arrow.
