PURPOSE: To remove an AGC pulse from a deformed video signal by operating the selective blanking of a video signal in a prescribed period following the generation of a synchronizing pulse. CONSTITUTION: A band pass filter 22 selectively filters and removes an AGC pulse for color burst information. A deformed input video signal from a buffer amplifier 10 drives a synchronizing separator circuit 30, the leading edge of each synchronizing pulse triggers a single stable multi-vibrator 32, and a synchronizing chip clamp 12 is clamped by a prescribed voltage. The single stable pulse in 5 micro-seconds of a single stable multi-vibrator 34 based on the tailing edge of each synchronizing pulse is used for the control of a switch 14, and the switch 14 is always connected with the output side of the band pass filter 22 when the pulse is high. The AGC pulse is generated after the synchronizing pulse.
