Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve durability by forming a base material layer with ester system elastomer and an elastic body of laminated structure arranging urethane system elastomer in inner and outer surface layers coating this base material layer. CONSTITUTION:A cover boots is formed from an elastic body of laminated structure forming a base material layer 9 with ester system elastomer and arranging urethane system elastomer in outer and inner surface layers 7 and 8 coating the base material layer 9. Consequently, providing rigidity even while holding rubber elasticity, the cover boots, improving its mountability to an equal velocity joint or the like further with no expansion by centrifugal force even in high speed rotation, is rich even in durability. Further because the urethane system elastomer is arranged in the outer surface, improving wear resistance for the contact with the fellow outer surfaces in the time of high speed rotation, the cover boots, even when it is rotated in contact, is prevented from breaking. While because the urethane system elastomer is arranged in the inner surface layer 8, preventing the cover boots from being swollen by grease sealed inside, the cover boots, arranging the ester system elastomer in the base material layer 9, can be prevented from a change of hardness due to depending on temperature.
