Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a data error caused due to mismatching between a transmission speed and a reception speed by starting buffering and count of input data as soon as a data comes from a low speed line, and starting the data transfer to a high speed line from the buffer when a prescribed quantity of data is stored in the buffer. CONSTITUTION:A low speed line adaptor section 20 is provided with a first-in first-out buffer 201 storing tentatively a data from a low speed line, a counter 202 counting the input data to the buffer 201 and a means 203 starting the input to the buffer 201 and the count of the counter 202 when the carrier detection signal CD in the MODEM interface 205 is set in the low speed line. When the count of the counter 202 reaches a prescribed value or the carrier detection signal CD is reset, the data is transferred from the buffer 201 to the high speed line by the means 203-204 to present the count to a desired value. Thus, the speed difference is absorbed and the data error due to speed mismatching is prevented.
