Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the input of the accurate data while comparing this data with another one on a graph by performing the direct input of the numeric characters obtained by a converting role decided by a user at the input of the numerical value on the graph by reference to the position of a cursor displayed on a screen. CONSTITUTION:When the control data is received from an input means 1, a cursor shift means 3 updates the coordinate position of the present cursor stored in a coordinate memory means 4. Then a display means 8 displays the cursor at the replaced coordinate position. When the numerical data is received, a numerical value changing means 5 refers to the numerical value stored in a numerical value memory means 7 and the coordinate position of the cursor stored in the means 4 to change the numerical value of a changed area. Then the means 8 displays the changed numerical value and its position on a graph. When the instruction data is received, a coordinate conversion means 6 converts the coordinate position of the cursor stored in the means 4 into the numerical value showing the coordinate value on the graph based on a prescribed converting rule. This converted numerical value is displayed on a screen by the means 8. Thus it is possible to perform the input the accurate while comparing this data with another one.
